Where was Vestergaard today?

Trying to find his dog at Seagrave? Probably got the hump now, who knows Probably wouldn't have made a difference anyway

I'm a big fan of King but seeing Ayew be the striker again was a poor selection, Daka has to start. And dropping Vestergaard (unless he was injured) and putting Okoli at CB and Thomas at LB backfired.

That said, the team did work harder, show more commitment and as it pains me to say, Winks did make the midfield tick when he came on. We actually did better on xG for once as well.

Pleased that Oluko and Page did well, especially the former. I was critical of Page in the previous match but he was much better today, especially for 60 mins.

We need a sh*thouse centre-half desperately who clears anything and everything,, especially with Souttar out till at least March. LB has been a major weakness as well, as well as striker. Yet I see we're getting an attacking midfielder on loan, it doesn't make sense!

For the choice of manager, we need someone who can organise a defence as the top priority.

King started Ayew and allowed him to play exactly the same way as he has, causing the same problems for us rather than the opposition.  The defence were playing the high line again and got caught out.  Thomas standing around watching a player he should be marking or at least attempt to put off.

Nothing changed by putting someone in who has been part of the dross.

Mav over playing and under thinking.

And still eligible for the U18s youth team, still learning.

Yea I get that, I just think we need more experienced championship hardened quality, but we are not going to get that neither

A brain fart from Okoli has killed us. Was always going to go the way it did once that happened.

Left at 85mins. Should have just stayed at home. Utterly painful and seems to be no end to that pain. Thought Oxford home was bad enough, this was definitely worse.

And above all, Ayew, the lazy, jogging c*** that falls over every 2 minutes should never play for us again. Disgraceful today, but the kids did OK.

That's exactly what we need, at least 5-6 new players but it isn't going to happen.

I was just defending Page because he's 17 and going to make mistakes.

Ayew is an absolute slob, said it was a sign of the impending downfall of the club when we signed him and that performance was up there with some of those put in by Junior Lewis, Robbie Neilson and Soumare v Blackburn in the cup.

Should never play for us again but with just him and Daka, one of the clowns will inevitably have to start.

when Ayew took the ball had miss writtrn all over it. Fwayatt should have taken it, having got the penalty.

Both the striker we have are useless no point in playing either of them.

Richardo plays better higher up the pitch than in defensive role.

Maybe instead of loaning out all our younger players, we should have kept and played them in the first team.

If not for the red card, we would have won the game 2-0.

Can't put it on King today. Generated 2 xG, red card in 15 mins, Ayew missed a pen.

Its a shame this happened on his first day as caretaker. Because now the narrative has been set.

At the end we have Nelson, Monga, Page and Aluko on the pitch, how do you think they'll feel being booed off the pitch.

They're either going to crumble into nothing and not turn out to be very good players.

Or they are going to man up, build character and embrace the challenge of improving as footballers.

If you can't play whilst being booed you are never going to be good enough. I mean wtf are we doing here?

Not sure how you’ve come to that at all. We made Coady look like prime Pirlo at certain points in the first 15mins

If you were manager, after the sending off, what change would you have made? For me, due to lack of pace, Ayew straight off. If a manager cant see that, they are rubbish.

Look im not saying its been good as it clearly hasn't but there have been plenty of positives here compared to under marti.

The players are running and trying

We are having shots

We are creating chances

We are moving the ball quicker

We have an xG of almost 2

Despite being down to 10 men from really early on we have been better than in almost all of the games over the last few months.

These are positives

This isn't to let anyone off the hook/ say everything is fine now or even approaching it or that King is the answer (he probably isn't)

But this has not been the disaster that many on here seem to want it to have been

We look like we have more passion and energy let's hope that continues

You on the special brew ourrrrr ked

A quick look at the Charlton forum tells you all you need to know - the comments are on how unbelievably poor we were!

Everything about this club for the majority of the last 3 years is meek and pathetic

Yes so I will admit Andy King got the substitutions wrong.

Cowardly to put on more defenders.

In-game management was poor today.

However, the result today was primarily decided in 15 minutes.
