Tbh Kingy should dust off his boots and play himself.

He would do a better job than a lot of our team

The concerning thing for me is if the "rumour" is true then we are picking up the 70k a week wages for Aribo  .

We have just got rid of Sourmare on a similar wage & IMO Aribo is not as good as Soumare.

Be class when he ends up taking game time from Page etc

Page at his age shouldn't be asked to play 90 minutes in every game. We have no depth in midfeild to change things around.

Sure but let's not pretend we aren't going to hire some dullard manager that's going to play the "experienced" Aribo ahead of Page because he's more concerned for his job prospects than developing our young players.

The extreme probability of him taking minutes from Page is depressing.

Can someone just ban me on here in advance.

Page not getting minutes like you say, to trot out this absolute overpaid (not good enough for Southampton) reject.

Rudkin isn’t a bad cop, he’s just damn awful at his job.

Well yeah Huth and Cambiasso were 2015 or before which is precisely my point???? Evans aside since 2015, who have we signed for fabled experience who has contributed positively to the club?? Bennett, Coady, Ayew, Reid, Winks..

Not disputing quality of player being the issue, I loved some of the older heads Pearson managed to bring in.. But our recent record with this type of signing is absolute shit..

As I said the issue is the quality of player

Yep, you are unfortunately correct, but ultimately we need midfeild options as we are threadbare in that position.

Typical Leicester isn’t it, the signings of Lascelles and Mukasa imo are logical, but they always find a way to depress you by signing someone like Aribo.

Yes, we need depth in midfield, but surely there’s better options available than Aribo, this just stinks of Martyn Glover getting desperate.

All we can pray for is that Aribo suddenly has a new lease of life 😕

Page, Skipp, James, Winks, Choudhury, Ricardo, Ramsey, Reid and Golding are all capable of playing.

Yes the majority of this list are currently injured but they should be back in good time to play without needing to sign up for 6 months of £80k a week.

Explain to me what you said then?

Taking game time from Page, as in being picked to start over him. I never said I expect Page to play every minute of every game, I'm not arsed if Aribo is coming off the bench for him, but there's zero long term benefit to him playing more than Page.

How do you know that’s the deal? I doubt it is……

I agree with the end of your comment about the long term benefit - but we need to focus on the short term and the strong chance of relegation.

Maybe if you articulate your posts with more information and context, it is less likely to be misinterpreted by others and send out a much clearer message.

I was just going off that list that was doing the rounds of him being one of the highest earners in the league.

Taking game time from Page is pretty explanatory, perhaps don't assume....

We don't know the severity of injuries - thats the problem. Ricardo hasn't been deployed in that position this season for reasons we do not know.

Reid and Ramsey - can they deeper in midfield? Golding - I haven't watched him closely so reserve judgment.

So that leaves us with three players, to cover two positions IMO.

Pretty much sums up how I think about the trio.

That doesn’t mean we are picking up the tab….is Southampton are faced with 26 weeks @ £70k it’s costing them £1.75k, if we pay half it saves them £800k……on a player who leaves for nothing in Summer……can see why they might just do that….but like a lot on here, I don’t actually know……
