You do what other championship teams do. Pack the midfield and go 3 at the back. He had the personnel to do this especially before Nelson and Okoli's injuries, but carried on the obsession with playing out the back, having the metronome (winks) dictate the pace but achieve nothing, using a 'flair' 10 and depend on our wingers for a moment of magic.

EVERY time you suggested something different on this forum you got accused of coming up with a horrible line up, yet we are where we are with the supposed 'good' version of the line up.

You're right that we should have tried a different formation and approach but I genuinely think this squad is so poor and rotten that the outcomes would have been similar, to be honest.

All of you who wanted him in and told me he was an acceptable option, you have egg on your face.

Only the most dumbest of dumb would think a manager sacked by Oxford would be a good option to manage this club.

Who the F wanted him in?

I was gutted as was everyone i spoke too.

However i took ot because im well aware of the sh!t show we were,  pending points, fines,  no money...players spitting dummies out,  there was not many options

Also, some of those draws were against teams really struggling for form. They aren't bits of hope to cling on to. Stoke were on a horrible run when we played them.

I think he’d get crucified for going three at the back, but I can see your thinking and maybe it could have worked. It would make us more solid but, think we might have struggled even more going forward (if that is possible).

There isn’t any team struggling for form more than us (other than possibly Sheff Weds).

This squad was more than good enough to stay up, at the start of the season who would you swap from the Portsmouth starting 11, with our 11, nobody.

Me? I’d swap absolutely all of them apart from James. I’m amazed there’s any you’d keep after watching that.

Our one goal in 3 games is against Sheffield Wednesday. Its not an argument anymore.

You would have had to bin of those who didnt want part of it, but thats easy. Thats Winks, Riccy, Vestergaard and mostly likely at least 1 of the wingers (i think Fatawu is part of the problem here too). With the personel we had at our disposal (remember that we had Aluko, Aribo, Page, Monga, James, Skipp and arguably Ayew is better when not playing up top). Plenty of personnel to have tried it. I do not buy for one minute this wasnt possible and we couldnt have given it a run of games.

These players can’t adapt - they fell in love with the Enzo style, and they are wedded to it. We brought in players for this system, but it’s not Enzo telling to play it - it’s cooper, Marti and GR telling them how to play a system that’s completely foreign to them. Cooper transfer window totally fukked us and this is the price we as fans have to pay - league tw@tting 1

Anyone who thinks bringing in Hamza will improve us is not fit to manage us.

Hey, you are discriminating against all the Bangladeshis of the world; all 180 million of them!

As you all know our sometime captain Hamza is a Bangladeshi international (not the captain there yet, as it is a coveted berth!). Granted, they are in a tough company, and have recently lost to the football stalwarts Vietnam and Singapore,  but drew the mighty Nepal and Hong Kong.  Naturally, Rowett is in awe of such achievements. Who wouldn't be?! Let the man play!

Which is exacerbated by a limited manager.

”but the squad is shit”

A sentiment echoed around the The Hawthorns under

Ramsey.

Or Norwich

Or Sheffield united

Or Southampton under still

or Oxford under Rowett

Got his quick cash. Woeful manager talks the talk. Great on podcasts,tv etc no doubt will have to wait until August before the new manager comes in.

You didn't read my message, I said at the start of the season before a ball was kicked, not after today's game.

100% - this happened to me loads this season on this forum.

I am dumbfounded why different managers and so many fans have been committed to a clearly failing system.

You'd be surprised by the amount of numpties that were telling me he's a good choice

He absolutely was a good choice at the time. Almost the only choice.

If he couldn’t do it, no one was going to.

Ah apologies. Well it’s easy to say in hindsight, and I’ve not seen enough of Portsmouth - but to be honest I already had a loathing for most of our players and I’d have certainly taken any of their defenders and strikers.

I'll admit it - I wanted him (if Pearson wasn't able to do the job).

Obviously I got that call completely wrong. He's managed the club exactly the same as the failures who came before him.

Makes me question if our 'managers' are even in charge - feels like they're told they have to play the 'Leicester' way (despite it being found out years ago and not having the players to do it).

IMO Danny Rohl would have got this squad to the play-offs even with a points deduction.

You know what it's like in any company when you have a shocking boss, everybody goes through the motions looking for them to leave or a way out.

This is no different.

Are those the lies that Rudkin told you? They picked him because they couldn't be bothered to do their job and actually search for a manager.
