Quite the career drop-off. He's gone from regular League wins, international competitions to going into his late 20's, falling out of favour with Guardiola, getting paid to essentially retire with Chelsea and now is completely out of relevance. Paid very very well of course, but it's alot of change to adapt to. 

 

Absolutely no excuse for drug driving though, that is exceptionally stupid. Refused the roadside test too apparently so also trying to wriggle out of it. Plenty of ways to enjoy your life with the money he has without doing stupid stuff and putting others in danger.

Hes got about 10+ winners medals, im not sure he wasted any of his talent? I think he’s just played too much football from a young age and it’s caught up with him

Obviously drug driving is terrible conduct but also think the man just needs a bit of help? He’s always had people criticising him, had a tricky upbringing (ooo woo woo woke stuff I’m sorry). But like with Dele Alli and Gazza, if a vulnerable person could be supported adequately then maybe this doesn’t have to happen.

Should have had alot more.

This wont help him from opposition fans standpoint.

 

Think the man needs some serious help and in due time he will make a return to football likely at a lower level. That, or walk away and invest your cash wisely. Can lead a happy life away from football drama.

He's only 31 as well. Shame that his career has gone down the pan this quickly.

 

Personally thought he was a bit over rated and the worst finisher i've ever seen play 300+ games in the Premier League.

I think he's the player that' benefitted the most from a single system and manager - Pep is responsible for 60% of his PL goals
