They got any good players we can look to buy for cheap in the future. You know, like almost every other club does with their feeder clubs...?

I think we are more likely to be their feeder club.

Why would any of their players want to play for us?

Why did Westerlo get rid of Simons, when he left them in a decent, just above mid table, position, at the end of the 24/25 season? I would have thought that was pretty successful for Westerlo.

And what did he do / where did he go in 25/26?

Westerlo's owner is known for wanting to have a say in the team tactics and line-up. Long story short, Simons didn't play the players the owner wanted

Spend last season as a pundit. His name came up a few times last season when a manager was sacked, including at OHL when Hubert left for Union, but to no avail.

Are you happy with the appointment? Or were there more suited candidates in your opinion?

Fairly happy.

We have to be realistic and understand that OHL isn't exactly a dream destination for proven top class managers, so I think he's the best we can get at this point. We could do a lot worse in my opinion. I'm very happy the deal with Hoefkens didn't go through by the way.

It will be key to build a decent squad for Simons to work with. Without a decend squad he doesn't stand a chance, just like any other manager.

Any transfer rumours about players in or out?

Tobe Leysen and Roggerio Nyakossi most likely will be sold. They should bring in a decent amount of money.

Porto and Feyenoord have shown intrest in Davis Opoku.

We already signed Dani Van den Heuvel (23, GK) who's contract ran out at Club Brugge

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dani-van-den-heuvel/profil/spieler/559320

We are also linked with Mats Rits (32, CDM) from Anderlecht and Alvaro Garcia (26, ST) from Castellon (Spanish 2nd division)

I don't like the Mats Rits rumour. In my opinion he's no longer good enough to play in the Belgian 1st division.

I remember when Rits was touted as the next big thing from Belgium when he broke into the first team at a very young age. Did he peak early or did he never fulfil his promise?

Mandela Keita, formerly of Leuven, now wanted by Everton.

I remember in 2023 people mentioning him on here as one to watch.

Why we don’t ever use the link (both ways), I fail to understand.

Just makes no sense Leuven selling to middling European teams for c. £10m then that team selling for £30-40m.

We could have paid the same as what Antwerp did for Keita then sold him for what Parma will now get.

I wanted us to sign him in summer 2024 after a season at Antwerp, went to Parma for about £10m and we chose to spaff £25m on Skipp lmao

Had some bad luck with injuries if I recall correctly. Nevertheless, he had a very decent career.
