Call it stupid dive, whatever… to go off for something so minor is shit.. and these decisions do favour a certain team.. the Argies needed help and got it again

As much as it fuels the conspiracies about Argentina getting all the calls, that's 100% the right decision.

"Rigged"? lol

Embolo was never in the game, he was frustrated. First yellow was already idiotic, this one tops it.

One of those "highly-intelligent" young footballers. Fvcking moron.

Argentina have been the benificaries of dubious decisions, that isn't one of them.

Ridiculous by Embolo.

It is though, it’s stupidity sure… but come on Messi no red for almost breaking someone’s leg.. and Swiss red for a silly dive

We beat either of these, although I’d love Argentina to go out due to the sheer luck and dodgy refs getting them this far.

Zero fear against this Argentina team… and to be honest rather play them, just to put them out ourselves. Mexico and Norway were far more dangerous

I'd absolutely blame Embolo too, but I'm also trying to remember how many other yellows have been given for simulation this tournament. I'm sure I've missed a few, but it's seemed a largely overlooked offence. While I get the 'mistaken identity' element, I still think people might ask whether it's a tad convenient that an erstwhile dormant rule has suddenly proven so decisive.
