I didn't hate still playing at the KP, but £60 is very steep considering it was a lot less last season.

I think its basically because there is no viable alternative, as seen by using Burton and Notts County as secondary grounds. The best option I heard was Loughborough Uni but they have a lot of teams playing there already.

My wife and I have had season tickets for the last 3 years. Due to their relegation under Pisspoor and the lack of interest in investment from the club we won't bother anymore, not until that useless manager has gone and the owners take the team seriously.

Usually 2pm so won't conflict with junior games in the morning, but 2pm is the traditional kick-off time for adult teams further down the pyramid.

 

I asked our club secretary about the impact of the WSL noon kick-offs on our club and he said there wasn't any at all.  What was impacted was that we're given tickets by Leicester to give away to our juniors and their families.  Previously these were snapped up, but last year no-one wanted them due to the kick-off time.

Its still so cheap, amazed we don't get bigger crowds in england.  The noon kick offs didn't help, that wont be an issue anymore though.

Value for money wise, yes, but you loose value from not being in the WSL, let alone increasing the price by a third.

 

The women's game is not really supported in the same way as mens, people follow players more than they do teams. Hence why we brought Lehmann.

They have seagrave, provide some transport, and drop the prices considerably, I would make it free at this point, raising the price and keeping at KP is wild.

I'm sure it mentioned somewhere on here previously that Seagrave does not have high enough capacity for WSL2 minimum standards.

Yeah needs to be 1300 and Seagrave only has 500

Leicester City have snapped up Ireland women’s international Jessie Stapleton on a three-year contract.

The 20-times capped defender had a season left on her deal at West Ham United but has opted to be part of a rebuilt Foxes squad chasing an immediate return to the Women’s Super League.

Their five-year spell in the top-flight was ended in May by a playoff defeat to Charlton Athletic, prompting manager Rick Passmoor to instigate an overhaul in personnel for their promotion tilt.

Stapleton was recruited by the Hammers in July 2023, having helping Shelbourne win a domestic double, but spent most of her contract on loan at WSL 2 clubs Reading, Sunderland and, most recently, Nottingham Forest.

The 21-year-old’s move continues a busy summer transfer window for Irish players, led by world-class pair Katie McCabe and Denise O’Sullivan.

McCabe has begun pre-season training with Chelsea after moving from London rivals Arsenal, while O’Sullivan’s short stint at Liverpool was recently ended by returning to the USA to sign for Gotham FC.

Ireland are next in action on October 9 when they make the long trip to Kazakhstan for the first leg of the World Cup playoff semi-final.

The second leg is scheduled for four days later at Pairc Uí Chaoímh, with the winner progressing to meet either Belgium or Poland in the final for a place at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

I thought she was pretty solid, unfortunately the ineptitude of those around her made her look worse by association.

 

She was never going to stay, probably wasn't going to be able to maintain her place in the Belgium squad for the world cup by playing 2nd division football.
