When I go on it only gives me these options 🤷🏻‍♂️ not sure I’ll bother. No way it’s sold out everywhere else. 10K cap

What is actually going on with tickets for this?

Are the sales just low because people are waiting for other areas to open, or is there just generally that little interest?

It’s not really being advertised. There a 10k cap. People are still on holiday. People are apathetic towards the league cup because realistically we’re not really going to go for it.

Are you sure there is a 10k cap? There is for the Genoa game but it doesn't say there is for Northampton

Yeah. Well as sure as I can be if I trust the ticket site

It's the Genoa game that's capped not this one.

I wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near a sell out, but seeing as we've sold out season tickets and this is the first game, I thought there would be more interest.

I'm not really sure on the advertising side cus if you're interested enough to go, you'll look out for the details. Fairweather fans aren't likely to see that and rush to buy, especially at £20.

With them knowing it was going to be the season opener/basically a pre season friendly it would have been the perfect fixture to include in season ticket cost.

But we're broke and need to balance between making money and paying matchday staff.

Quite odd. I’m sure it said yesterday the game was capped but today it doesn’t.

God knows, they're making hard work of it either way.

Leaving general sale until 28th July is also completely unnecessary.

Might be the only proper cup game we get to see at home this year, and we haven't had that many over the last few years either.

Yes people will be on hols, same is true for all August fixtures though. I don't know how many ppl that area of west stand that is available holds, can't be 10k though?

Less than 10k would be pretty pitiful imo for a first team fixture.  I have to say the pricing is on the high side though.

I shouldn't be surprised but I thought a few more would go for this game - first game of the new season, cup game at home, I know its £20 for an adult is steep but even then

I'm surprised by the lack of interest in this. I'm looking forward to seeing how the team with a few younger players gets on.

I was expecting that a lot of season ticket holders were holding back until general sale so they could get tickets with friends/family, and thought they'd be a big surge in sales this morning, but looks like there's been none at all.

Looks like they're struggling to sell even  B1 and B3 at the minute. Problem is that after that they'll extend it to the corner blocks and so people will then just wait until they start opening blocks behind the goal, which they won't if they don't sell the corners. Should just open the central blocks behind one goal from the start so at least people can get tickets where they want.

Shame because I was thinking they'd be at least 15,000 for this, looks more like about 2,000 at the minute.

They will have pissed a few people off yesterday when they suddenly decided to add a member sales day, despite not advertising it, so anyone trying to purchase tickets yesterday would have been confused. They'd originally said 27th Gen sale and hadn't made it clear on the ticket site that the extra day had been for members only.

Between me and a mate we've got two kids going to their first game and it was a ****ing nightmare trying to sort tickets yesterday/today.

Cost. £15 I think it is for ST holders and £20 for non. It's too much, especially for the shite we've had served up now for years.

As a ST holder I might have gone for a tenner but drew the line at that and same for the Genoa friendly.

I'm sure if they had priced it better it might have got a bigger crowd.

Northampton have only been given two blocks as well. Looks like they're close to being all sold though.

Why don't they just make it £10 for adults and £5 concessions?

Has to be agreed between both clubs, who knows how the convo went

Yes should have been agreed by both clubs - No brainer

20,000 plus at £10 / £5 or 6,000 at the convoluted pricing they've come up with

10 days to this game and we've sold out 1 block lol

That block is basically the giveaway tickets block as well, probably sold out as soon as tickets went on.

I'm waiting for any of the C blocks to open before I buy now. No chance any other stand opens looking at sales.

They're on now in case you didn't know.
