Stats for 26/27

Ok not strictly 26/27 but added too and not Fact Checked

 

Russell Martin has just TWO league wins over the past two seasons (over 21 league games).
Do you see him turning this round in charge of the Foxes?
 
To be fair it was 19 when we signed him so not quite as bad

2 wins in 21 is seriously grim.

 

Even worse when you consider how that includes the money spent at Rangers in a fairly poor league and the opposition we would have pretty much hand picked to start us off.

Well it could but as the title suggest it’s for any interesting stats this season same as we had last season. It’s not exclusively about Martin.

It 's all of these incredibly concerning indicators that really need imprinting into the minds of the 'just give him time' bods.

 

38% win percentage over his career INCLUDING a promotion campaign. It's nowhere near good enough. He's nowhere near good enough.

 

Fuchs on co-comms the other day was obviously the more suitable; he was talking about the need to be physical in order to succeed in this league.

He needs to watch of a video or two from either Sir Alex Ferguson or Mourinho to literally understand how football should be played and the positive effects the success of it can bring.

 

He really ought to be panicking at his managerial record in recent seasons and alter the playing style to save his career and stop the club's rot.

 

Time is already running out and he needs to act quickly without making any excuses up for himself.

And that’s how things played out. The eleven players that began the match for Leicester had started 159 league games for the club, with Thomas (101) and Jakub Stolarczyk (48) accounting for so many of those that the remaining 9 boasted just 10 between them.

Calamity and disaster has taken such deep root that only a deep cleansing has any chance of reversing the course we’re on. This was the fourth time in a year Leicester have had a man sent off before half time and the sixth time they have gone two goals down in the first half over that period.

Losing to Burton is not our worst defeat in history by a long shot.

 

We have lost to non-league teams in the past.

Yeah in cup games - this our worst ever defeat in the league. Seasons aren't defined by cup performances so it is our worst ever result.

TBF, I actually prefer that than Rowett last season.

 

To begin with, I liked Rowett’s brutal assessment but then it became clear that he offered zero accountability for the issues, under his watch.

 

He had a lovely time in Lisbon whilst paid by us though.

Not defending or blaming either, but Pearsons win record is 39% over his career.

You're obviously too young to remember the humiliation of losing to Harrow.

 

Don't care that it was a cup game. One game does not define a single season, otherwise we'd have won the EPL in 2014-15 (Man U 5-3).

Palace lost to Macclesfield as holders of the FA cup last season - they won the Conference League too. If they plummeted to L2 (They've been in the 3rd tier more than we have) in 5 years and lost at say, Harborough - do you think that would be worse result than the Macclesfield one?

 

Teams lose in one off cup games, it happens. A worst ever league result is much more consequential.

We lost a home fixture in the third tier (that's bad enough in itself) to a team who have no budget and only ambition is staying up.

 

As I recall, we only lost one home game the last time we were at this level. They reached the play off final. Burton will probably finish about 17th.

 

We've had lots of embarrassing cup results but so have plenty of other teams, because cup games are totally different to regular league games.
