Levein together with coaches Peter Houston and Kenny Black have left the club with immediate effect, with Rob Kelly together with Mike Stowell taking temporary charge. "The players are extremely disappointed that Craig has left the club," said Tiatto. "He was very well liked and respected by all the players and we were 100 per cent behind him and determined to get ourselves out of trouble. "But unfortunately when the team isn't playing well and results aren't going your way then it is generally the manager that has to take responsibility. "That has happened in this instance and while we have been playing some good football, the results have just not been good enough. "We wish Craig well and I am sure he will go on to be successful elsewhere." But Tiatto and the players are now focused on preserving the club's Championship status between now and the end of the season. "We are all in this together and we must do everything within our power to climb the table over the coming weeks. "Leicester City is a huge club and should not be struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table. "We need everyone connected with the club, and that includes the fans, to get behind us, starting with our game against Southampton on Saturday in the FA Cup."
