Collymore Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 This is just weird! Gibbo sounds desperate! think he needs to pay the gambling debts or summat?
syston_fox Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 I said Gibson for manager during the plymouth match thread last night
martyn Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Feel a lot of sympathy towards Levein, I like the guy and he obviously had the right intentions to move the club forward but ultimately he was out of his depth tactically. I wish him luck and hope he can re-establish his managerial career somewhere else.
DB11 Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Who do you want then? anyway where can i see the conference

dandannieldanok Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Lets not get carried away Peter Reid is one of the favourites to take the job, he is crap
MC Prussian Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 It's a very sad day for Leicester City football club. No, leveiningly relieving.
martyn Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Peter Reid and Paul Hart early contenders. Reid would be 'ok' as a stopgap, Hart an absolute disaster.
City Fan Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Why not Gibbo? We aren't going to be able to tempt someone with a good record and experience to come here. Why not have someone with passion for the club? Experience doesn't matter as much as some people think. Chris Coleman - passion for Fulham, no experience, top gaffer. Same with Stuart Pearce.

Pearce did have experience before Man City, he was manager when Forest were relegated from the Prem.
BlackLightning Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Hi, I'm a new poster, but I have been reading the forum for a while. Firstly, YAY!!!!!! Hopefully we can get someone will play our players in their proper positions. Secondly, NO To Peter Reid. We have more than a decent team, we just need someone to inject motivation in them. Can Rob Kelly keep us up...?
lesta_fox Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Dear God Don't like to see anyone lose thier job, so please forgive me dancing round the living room punching the air shouting yes he's gone. with the wife telling me to calm down. Amen ps Thanks for answering my prayers.
City Fan Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Pearce did have experience before Man City, he was manager when Forest were relegated from the Prem. Ok he had some experience, but his record was shite to be fair. Who cares that Gary Mac's record is not the best? He has passion for the club, and besides, he was managing a mediocre Coventry side. GARY MAC FOR MANAGER!!!
Gené and Tonic Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Gary Macs situation was similar to that of Pearces. Who knows what might happen if he gets the job?
Jay Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 This is the man for me!!!! he gets his teams playing as a unit, with real passion, desire and heart!!! he wanted a move back to club football with Pompey and could do a great job IMO I would also be quite happy for him to manage Nth Ireland on a part time basis as well!!!
filbertway Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Pearce has good players at man city who seemed to start doing better when they were motivated more We have good players, we just need a motivator
Fox in a Box Posted 25 January 2006 Posted 25 January 2006 Not bragging but, two in a row for me lets hope your not bragging again soon!!

However, He was fighting a losing battle, and his repeated excuses were starting to wear thin. I agreed with his principles, but he ultimately didn't have the ability to see it through. I must say I'm surprised, because I expected he would here for at least the QPR game. Interesting that Rob Kelly has been retained, maybe because of his knowledge of English football.
