Then again, i wouldn't have a clue to be sure, i didn't have to vote on it

It is the actor that is asking for the episode to be edited or removed as he fears reprisals against him. In the episode he plays a Christian fanatic who shoots the Al Qaeda suspect so the Muslim is the victim here. I would think the story ends with the nutter who did it being caught so justice is seen to be done. This is just another scare story by the Sun to sell papers. The episode was not due to be shown until later in the year so there is plenty of time for discussion with any possible objections and scenes to be reformed. Lets not panic just yet. Just heard on the news that the fight against Al Qaeda could go on for 50 years. This again may be a worry to some, but we do not know what form this fight will be in the future. Lets hope tomorrows generation will want peace more than scoring points.

The Koran states that there is no compulsion in religion (2:256), saying also "Whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve." (18:29) and "Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion." (109:6). However, the Koran also details what happens to disbelievers. "Whoso seeketh as religion other than the Surrender (to Allah) it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter." (3:85). What does being a 'loser' entail? "Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!" (18:29). Nice! So basically, the Koran permits one to be a non-Muslim because there is no compulsion in religion. Except for the threat of having your face burned with boiling water for all eternity, of course.

Muslims, Christians and Jews all believe in the same Effing God!!! Christians beileve that Jesus was the son of God, Muslims believe Mohammed was aprophet of God, meeting the Angel Gabrielle I believe, Islam also recognise that Jesus was a prophet also (but not the son of god). And Judaism believes in that same God. Even so, the Koran is quite clear on how Jews and Christians should be treated "Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. ... He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them." (5:51). Any Christian or Jew who claims that they have Muslim friends is lying! The Koran goes further on the treatment of non-Muslims, stating that "The disbelievers are an open enemy to you." (4:101) and instructing Muslims to "Take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant." (4:91).

And it wouldn't suprise me if Christmas as a whole was banned soon as well. Birmingham didn't have a santa claus in their town centre last year so they didn't "offend" anyone. Bloody ridiculous.

davieG Posted 16 February 2006 Posted 16 February 2006 Might be the case if the Muslims were the ones actually complaining or suggesting it, as I see it's like a lot of other decisions being considered by people that have too much time on their hands and too much influence. The BBC etc should just get on with making good TV and Councils, the biggest culprits in all this type of OTT actions should concentrate on the basics like Education, Safe Transportation, helping the genuinely disabled and those on the breadline not trying to make political points. It would please me no end if Councils were actually apolitical, but that's a pipe dream.
