Just Finished Mayflies by Andrew O'Hagan. What a book. Shed a tear. Great author.

Read this earlier this year too, really great book. Loved the very two clear distinct parts to the book.

You might like, Close to Home by Michael Magee. It felt a similar kind of read to me.

Currently reading Caledonian Road by O'Hagen (just out in paperback). Absolutely superb.

Seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.    Mind bending murder mystery with a twist from a multiple perspective.  Difficult to explain more without spoiling it!

halfway through the final book ( of those written so far) of a song of ice and fire, and wow, the tv show is utter bullshit

Reading Hail Mary by Andy Weir which I'm enjoying after slogging through The Reformatory which I was pretty bemused by the rave reviews it received.

It's nothing to do with it by the end and you know the final book is never going to happen.

In other news, reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Written in the 1930s, it's a scarily accurate vision of the future.

A must read book, Brave new world is near the mark in its future idea. George Orwell was hugely influenced before penning 1984.
