Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

I have a feeling that he will be at the Barnsley game, but he will not be unveiled there. His takeover will not be completed in time according to the length of time the whole process is taking and the speed at which it isn't progressing. January looks like the earliest time it will happen :)

Not good news. We need his money as soon as december ends.

I'm not an official spokesperson or a source of key information as far as LCFC's private matters go, but from the reports leaking to forums etc, Milan is either already in and should have been in control by today or he won't be in until January because the whole thing is moving slower than planned.

Not good news if true, as like you say, we need his money ready for the transfer window. Maybe somebody with a bit more inside knowledge can come and update us on how things are going atm :)

Would be nice if somone could flag it up, but as talks are ongoing no ones allowed to say anything... though the FT are saying its going ahead, just taking a long time, I'm still refusing to "count any chickens" until i see removal van outside the walkers

how come our takeover takes so long but west ham's was done in a few days?

I think you're judging them by how long they've been in the public domain not how long it's actually taken.

WestHam said they were in Talks at the very start of the season and got taken over the other week...LCFC only formally said we were in take-over talks a two or three weeks ago.

Excuse my ignorance as i've been away playing war but the last I heard there was an issue with Mandy still owning Portsmouth due to him awaiting payment? Has this hurdle been cleared yet?

The Foxes Trust have just said that the board are working closely with MM to make sure the bid caters for all the shareholders so that they all accept.

Didn't they provisionally accept the bid 3 weeks ago in the emergency board meeting? If not, then what did they agree to? Surely the board took them through the meetings they'd had with MM and what his plans were for taking over. Now, ok there will have been some issues that the shareholders wanted clarifying before definitely selling. But the fact that almost every single shareholder (perhaps even every one of them) were in favour of this, surely there's not that much scope to cover to please all shareholders? The Trust go on to say that some details of the bid may please some shareholders and not others so they the board are trying to come to an agreement to please all of them. Fair enough, but i'm surprised this hasn't been cleared up long before now.

The shareholders need to take a gamble. The current lot aren't succeeding here, MM can't do much worse.

If I remember correctly the shareholders agreed in prinicple to considering a bid from MM and to allow him to look at the books. He may well have since altered his offer, or the shareholders may have taken advice from their own advisers after studying MMs bid in more detail. As we have no idea of any 'strings' being attached it's difficult to assess what's going on.

Patience is a virtue and we'll need plenty of it. Besides there's nowt much can change until the January window, well apart from the management. I hear Pardew's at a lose end. :P
