Mort Posted 6 December 2006 Posted 6 December 2006 I have a horrible feeling this could all drag on well into January Doubt it to be honest, they said it'd probably be sorted by Christmas and it probably will one way or another, the week before Christmas was what was being suggested and that still seems likely... there wont be much chatter over the wires coz, put simply, all those involved are not allowed to say anything. No one is going to buy a club in our situation and miss out on the January window... if it happens it'll go through before January and probably before Christmas and with any luck RK can be out pretty soon after that

There was little resistance from our board or shareholders with the initial bid. The only issue might be whether Milan thinks the club is worth what he originally offered before he looked at our books. I am still confident of an outcome within a few weeks.

I agree with you since there will be some urgency by both parties. The set backs will come from the authorities ie the Stock Exchange, FA etc, perhaps. Do you know if approval has to be given by a third party like that?

I wouldn't have thought there will be much complication from that sector. The main sticking point will be with Teachers who we owe money to for the ground. But I can't see why they would oppose to a much wealthier person taking over a company that they have ties with.

Hope your right... the sooner we get this take-over sorted, the sooner we can get back to the important and difficult task of sorting the club and squad out so we’re actually competitive in this league (!)

Suddenly the date thrown around on here - 15th of December - doesn't look likely, and this could end up running well into January, which wouldn't be helpful or ideal. Still, at least we beat Wolves today, which just enables Milan to think "maybe I did make the right choice after all".
