Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

Let's just say a little bird told me that LCFC alone will NEVER own the Walkers Stadium if MM takes over.

And if some of you rude, loud mouthed ignorant gits can shut the fcuk up and stop me having my posts removed you might just learn what MM's plans REALLY are.

Perhaps if you refrained from your childish habit of calling people idiots etc just because they have alternative views, even if they are proved to be wrong you wouldn't have your posts removed and your ego damaged.

Pompey fans not happy

We're known as the 'hoofers' to them  there just jealous at the fact we have got a better stadium and are on the up. By the way didnt all this Mandaric take-over talk come after the idea of a band at the ground? Maybe Milan just likes bands

ooh they sound an intelligent lucid lot!

I'm Guessing milan will be wanting to invest and get us into the premier league as quickly as possible, then hopefully we could consolidate and pay the stadium off that way?

However I don't know :P I'm jsut happy were getting a chairman with money :o:D

If Milan's going to buy the stadium, best to do it now when we are in the championship on lower revenue streams. He will then be able to settle with Teachers for a smaller sum than if we were promoted. The stadium will no doubt be seen as an underperforming asset by the pension fund (based on the lower repayments we make in the championship, against possible returns with the same level of cash in other asset classes) so they will more than likely be prepared to sell for an agreed sum.

Although, I cannot see the benefit of Milan buying the stadium for Leicester City. Better to buy it in a separate company so he can then move money between the two.

Depends how this £25 million is structured. My guess is that it's something like £6-8 million to buy out the equity stake and then a promise to loan the remainder of the money to the club. Then, buying the stadium makes sense because the loan from Mandaric to LCFC is secured against the stadium and then we don't have the nightmare scenario of another company to the club owning the stadium (which is something I suspect that the current board would - rightly - not agree to before signing away ownership).

Chandler's £25 million for 51 per cent is pure nonsense. The ideal for the club is that Mandaric buys out the board for whatever, and then puts the remaining millions in as an equity stake. As real investment. I doubt that's on the table though.

Portsmouth never exactly set the footballing world on fire did they? Life is still going to be difficult. Leicester City are rubbish with a nondescript manager at the moment. Don't expect them to turn into Chelsea overnight.

Being able to play in the Prem for more than just one or two consecutive seasons would actually do it for me. And for many others, as well.

Look at Aston Villa, Bolton, Manchester City. Southampton was a part up there for years without ever dropping one league below.

lets look short term lets get to the premiership! who cares if we come back down lets just have a season in the premiership, things always seem more interesting to see in the premiership and lets face it folks football is about entertainment at the end of the day, people get dragged into all this business malarky and yer ok money= better team= better performance but milan is not going to pump that much in! and i think our team is bonding and on there way already! w can make the premiership without new players, then we may need to spend to stay up but just a season there for the pure entertainment will do me.!

ghah! another hope dashed! i had them playing in the champions league next season too!

re. chandler; shut the fu ck up yourself you come on here, claiming to be this that and the other, refusing to back up your claims and expect everyone to take what you say as the truth and the only truth. we don't own the stadium now so whats the diff?

i also have no doubt the tigers link up will be back on the table post MM (or whoever else) taking over

Why you have to show such an ignorant and disrespectful attitude to other people is beyond me. so

1 Have you seen and read the official bid document? If so then tell us what it says. if not then just try to not spout off a load of rubbish.

2 What do you think MM's intentions are? He has been a football man for years. True not every club has been massively succesful but the majority of fans would rather swap portsmouth's positon for ours.

3 if after due diligence he still wishes to proceed he would need 90% of the shares to effectively own the club outright as all other shareholders would legally be compelled to sell the remaining shares to him or indeed any other investor in a similar position.

4 As for your statement about the ground then only those who have read his bid or know him personally have any idea as to his intentions. However, as the current situation is not exactly ideal it is hard to imagine things being much worse.

Then of course you might just be right and he really wants to buy us to turn us into a giant Serbian theme park.

Finally if you have something critically constructive to add to the thread then go ahead otherwise allow other fans to enjoy themselves. The majority of your condescending posts remind me of the attitude of the brownshirts of the 30s or the apparteid govt of the 70s and 80s intolerant of anyone else who might have the timidity to challenge your opinion.

I find it great that part-time supporters like Chandler are coming back to the club, now we are on the verge of big things. It is great that people like him won't have to go around Town centres in their Chelsea/Arsenal/ManU tops over the next few years, once Mandy comes on board.

Obviously, people like Chandler feel insecure because everyone knows that they have drifted off to glory-hunt somewhere else...and so they cover up for it by being offensive and trying to fake inside knowledge.

Chandler and chums have fragile ego's, be kind to them...it's not easy going through life with no social skills. We are a broad church Citeh fans, we can accept all sorts.

C'mon. Heath, Wilson and Callaghan were never that authoritarian. And I think we had blackshirts here in the 30s.

Sorry folks but I've sat back far too long listening to the ignorant piffle that passes for comment on the Milan Mandaric takeover bid.

Buying a footbal club is pretty much the same as buying any other business. You make a valuation and then you make an offer to the owners. An outright bid for a plc is comparatively rare, bidders are normally content to purchase a majority of the shares.

MM's bid of £25m seems to me to be a very full price for a 51% stake of New Fox plc. This probably accounts for the confusion in the stories circulating about the bid which run something like this - £6m for the shares, £15m to clear the debt and the rest to spend on players. This kind of nonsense can only come from financially illiterate people.

The shareholders who wish to sell-out to MM have only one real thought in their minds - to get the maximum price for their shares. The club's indebtedness and its need for working capital is undoubtedly an issue for MM and affects the valuation he places on the clubs shares but it will will no longer be an issue for the exisitng shareholders once they have transferred their equity.

So lets get one thing straight UNLESS there is a clear (and unlikely) statement for the directors that MM's reported bid of £25m represents in part an agreement in principal between the parties that any offer must include provisions for debt clearance you can take it from me that LCFC's debt and capital requirements will be the same on the day MM takes over as they are now (a great deal higher than has been reported).

As this is rather a lot for SOME of you to take in I'll leave it at that for the moment. It might just prevent one or two small minded mods who are just itching to ban me wait until I explain what Milan Mandaric's true motives are.

All I'll say for now is that they have nothing to do with football (surprise, surprise).

Your not Chandler Bing!

Mandaric special in the Mercury tomorrow

Milan Mandaric, who has tabled a £25 million bid to buy Leicester City, speaks exclusively to soccer writer Bill Anderson in Thursday's Leicester Mercury.

The former owner of Premiership side Portsmouth reveals his vision for City, why he chose to make a bid for them rather than other clubs he has been linked with, and reveals his thoughts on manager Robert Kelly.

There's also plenty of reaction and a look back at how other clubs fared under the ownership of the flamboyant business tycoon.

Don't miss the Manderic six-page special in Thursday's Leicester Mercury

Should Be A intersting Read :D:D:D:D:D

That explains the spectacular piece of brown-nosing by BA today.

But with friends like him on board the bandwagon, hey, who needs me? :D:D:D

And don't pay attention to Mandy's views on RK, as they'll probably have changed by next week anyway!

Here here, well said, now stop being a bell-end Chandler, put your toys back in your pram, play nicely and enjoy the ride like the rest of us or bugger off.

YAY Ultra's here lol

May I put it on record as being now excited. I am sure that somewhere in the Milan thread I said I refused to get excited until something concrete happened and I am a man of my word...

FAO Chandler - congratulations you have now piffed off someone who had an open mind about your opinions. If you have something constructive to say, say it in a polite way.

Money may buy a lot of things, but it sure can't buy class

Well the Merc/BA seem to have gone well over board on this and have clearly nailed their views to the mast. It makes you think that they know a lot more than they're letting on and that it has progressed much further than we are led to believe. They're going to have egg all over their faces if it ends up being someone other than MM - mind you that's never stopped BA looking a twat in the past. :P

What drivel. If you REALLY think Mandy will make us bigger than those clubs then you've been overdoing the crystal meth.

He calls it as he sees it. There's no rule that says EVERYONE should kiss Mandy's ass!

..as I'm sure you and others in the admin team know only too well..
