OH no...sh1t in that case, lets not bother....or... we could get rid of the Birch....he is turning into a right clown... I used to like him, but his remit should NEVER include Radio....

Do you bite your thumb at me sir?

Anyone think this might affect the players like it has done at West Ham? Or is it just an excuse?

We've still been fairly shit lately anyway, despite the unbeaten run. We were wank at QPR, pretty poor on Tuesday against Stoke. The only game where we've bossed a team by all accounts was Leeds, and they are/were atrocious anyway, getting beat 4 or 5 nil week by week by other sides.

Hopefully it'll affect Johnson. He can't get any worse. He might gain some pace.

Birch played for one of Mandys teams in the U.S (San Jose Earthquakes I think) and they didn't get on. Birch was blabbing on the moan in when the story first came to light about it, once Mandy banned him for 3 games because a fan threw a beer can at Birch while he was on the pitch, Birch procceded to pick it up and pretend to drink from it and stumbled away pretending to be drunk (twat). Milan went nuts and told him he was running a football team and not a circus and banned him. I think Birch even admitted they "didn't see eye to eye"

Well fair enough i think. Birch shouldn't constantly act like a complete nob!

But would you trust MM more?.

from his record in football compared to the present board , cash investment and contacts. yes.

out of the present board with its record since it took over, ( we were only saved from relegation last year by kelly being so good at caretaking the managers job,) to other unknown supposed investors id say if the reports are true about the investment / takeover then yes.

the club was in decline , now its treading water but how long will that continue? will we be more likely to go up or down with the current trend?

Just as a quick question... do they teach Business Studies or Economics to GCSE students these days, I only ask as I took Economics A Level in days of yore and I have found it very useful, yet eve n though the levels of intelligence is generally HIGH on these boards, some fundamental issues are misunderstood...bot trying to point fingers, I just think its another issue about the quality of our education system. <_<

Yeah. Apart from with you, I and Surreal Madrid so far :P

Whether your for or against this takeover, i hope it is sorted out soon as possible as it can only be a distraction for both players and staff. Look what has happened at West Ham. Theyve had this rummoured takeover happening for ages now and their performances have suffered for it.

I would say there is a number of things effecting their performance, if Rob Kelly manages the team correctly then this shouldn't affect the players.

Don't think it helps that the Israeli bidders have all but said Pardew's out if they take over. I fear that could happen with us, as I think if MM does take over he will want a more high profile manager than Kelly. That's why I will be shouting for Kelly rather than Mandy at Hillsborough on Saturday.

I agree with you to an extent but we are not exactly destroying teams at the moment, and that little lack of focus could cost us.

Surely if anything the players would try more than ever to impress the incoming investor, after all, they want jobs don't they?

I thought the deal was £25 million?

Well, that's the figure that has been bandied around by the media, it may, or may not, bear any resemblence to the actual bid that MM has put in. In fact, I'd be extremely suprised if the bid was anywhere near that amount.

The figure of £25 million clears our debts, buys back the stadium and leave a bit left over for new players. But, why would MM want to make such a huge investment when there is no real gurantee of ROI? Why pay off the debts or buy back the stadium when we've got these under control financially anyway?

More sensibly, he'll just buy a controlling interest in the club. Put in some extra money for some new players and then see how things go. The promotion to the Premiership he's talking about isn't going to happen overnight, it's going to take time.

Next May, in the play-offs

Or maybe the season after

I don't think it's Mandy's style to have anything less than 100% control, that's where the problem comes in - will there be enough left to fund the squad while hopefully paying off some of the Teacher's debt.

That depends what price the board (as a collective) are willing to sell at.

Am I right in thinking each shareholder can negotiate their own price with him? It's only when he owns 90% that the rest are forced to sell?

I've just been reading that special on Mandaric in the Mockery when i came across this.

"I can't really believe all this," he says. "Jack Hayward has offered to give Wolves away - actually give the club away - as long as the buyer would pledge to put some money into the team."

And yet, he says, along come Leicester City, up to their ears in debt, playing at a stadium they don't own and struggling to fill, and Mr Mandaric seems to prefer them to Wanderers.

"It doesn't make any sense to me," says James. "Surely, he'd be better buying Wolves. I hope the man comes to his senses and does the right thing. He'd get more for his money here than he would there. We wouldn't turn him away."

Sour grapes??

I believe that if he reaches 30% he has to offer to buy the rest - I think the Foxes Trust confirmed this some time ago. The other shareholders don't have to sell until, as you quite rightly say, he reaches 90%.

got to be honest i would also like top keep my finger in the pie if i was on the board, wouldnt we all? so why would the board be any different.

So long as you don't get caught with your knob in the jam...
