Chrysalis Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 ric is right the board look to be trying to hold onto power either that or they want more cash per share. But I think the former is more likely. I think the club needs a change of board a cash injection alone would only be a temproary reprieve.
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 It's just said on RL that Milan wants an answer by the start of next week, if not then I suspect he'll pull out.
Master Fox Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 It's just said on RL that Milan wants an answer by the start of next week, if not then I suspect he'll pull out. I really can't believe the club would so stupid to turn this down???
London_Fox Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 It's just said on RL that Milan wants an answer by the start of next week, if not then I suspect he'll pull out. Surely all mind games now and we need to be careful not to take too much notice of it all. Everything that's said between now (yesterday actually) and when a deal is completed is meant to get whoever says it a better deal. It's frustrating but we do just have to wait and see I guess. Will the Foxes Trust make any offer (and its details) public seeing as they are shareholders and will be allowed to see it?
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 I really can't believe the club would so stupid to turn this down??? They haven't done yet, if they had it would be all over the news. I wonder whether they will have a decision by the start of next week though? They'll probably just drag it out and when Milan pulls out through frustration they'll claim he wasn't that serious about buying us out. At least we'll know by the start of next week, I hated the thought of it dragging on for months.
Surreal Madrid Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 I really can't believe the club would so stupid to turn this down??? Problem is, we have no idea of what his offer is. If the deal is sucecssful or not, I suspect we will never know, so it's really difficult to call, if it were to break down, who the bad guy or guys are.

At least we'll know by the start of next week, I hated the thought of it dragging on for months. I'm just slightly worried it may fall through. I just can't see how the club can possibly turn this down but by the sounds of things some nob head share holders and stalling proceedings.
Jon the Hat Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Will the Foxes Trust make any offer (and its details) public seeing as they are shareholders and will be allowed to see it? No, they will be subject to confidentiality agreements like the other shareholders. They will of course be free to make comments on it, but not discuss the terms in anything other than generalities.

Foxes_Trust should be obligated to tell it's members why should this deal collapse or they reject it.
Master Fox Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 To think all the fans on here and nobody knows any shareholders with inside info?
Jon the Hat Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 I'm just slightly worried it may fall through. I just can't see how the club can possibly turn this down but by the sounds of things some nob head share holders and stalling proceedings. Reality check! Those nob head shareholders own the club, they bought it and what they do with their shares is their own decision. We can only hope they have the best interests of the club at heart - and all the evidence so far suggests they have.
Janx Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Foxes_Trust should be obligated to tell it's members why should this deal collapse or they reject it. Im sorry, are you Ric FLair from the Good ole US of A?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 The Foxes Trust seem to be on holiday at the moment.
Surreal Madrid Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 It's just said on RL that Milan wants an answer by the start of next week, if not then I suspect he'll pull out. He can get an answer re a recommendation from the board, but the shareholders have the final say, and company law says 21 days notice must be given for an EGM. I hope Mandy realises this, and is not making demands that cannot be met.
holly Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 i wish this would all just happen i hate sitting around waiting to find out whether were actually gunna have money as a club again! i`m nervous that the club arent gunna take his offer and that they will make a big mistake and go with someone with less money and silly intentions
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 Foxes_Trust should be obligated to tell it's members why should this deal collapse or they reject it. Bugger them. They board and shareholders will have to come out and explain why the deal collapsed or why they rejected it. Manadaric has already managed to engineer the situation to get the vast majority of the fan base in his corner, should this all go tits up the immediate reaction will be to blame the board. A clear and detailed statement into the reasons for rejection will be needed to avoid them getting serious stick off the supporters.

It sounds like they're being greedy and trying to obtain more of settlement to shift their fat arses.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 all this sounds soooo confusing! i dont get who is complaining about getting £25m cant we just let him take us over and get the god dam money and get the club back were it belongs Presumably his actual offer for the club is less than £6.6million. The £25million figure includes the stadium buyout etc.
The People's Hero Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 all this sounds soooo confusing! i dont get who is complaining about getting £25m cant we just let him take us over and get the god dam money and get the club back were it belongs I doubt if the figure is anywhere near £25million. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the club could be bought in it's current state for less than £10million.
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 He can get an answer re a recommendation from the board, but the shareholders have the final say, and company law says 21 days notice must be given for an EGM. I hope Mandy realises this, and is not making demands that cannot be met. You've got a point there. I think perhaps Milan just wants some sort of indication whether it's acceptable or not.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 all this sounds soooo confusing! i dont get who is complaining about getting £25m cant we just let him take us over and get the god dam money and get the club back were it belongs Nobody is. Boiled down into it's simplest form, the deal depends on whether the shareholders (the people who own a percentages of the club) get enough money out of it, and whether or not they think Milan is going to take the club forwards, whether he intends to borrow any money against the clubs assets ect.
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 I doubt if the figure is anywhere near £25million. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if the club could be bought in it's current state for less than £10million. Really, it could be bought for £6.6 million. The grounds re-payment deal has already been agreed for our current owners and i'm led to believe there isn't any other debts of significance. Or have Teachers and our board agreed that if we get taken over that the ground must be bought outright? Perhaps that's why they were so keen on the ground share. If I were Milan, I wouldn't purchase the ground straight the way anyway. I'd be more interested in using my funds to get Leicester back in to the premiership and the grounds payments would then take care of themselves with all that extra money we'd get ib for being in that poncy league called the premiership.
London_Fox Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 No, they will be subject to confidentiality agreements like the other shareholders. They will of course be free to make comments on it, but not discuss the terms in anything other than generalities. Surely though some of the members of the Foxes Trust might care to leak details to us since the Foxes Trust was meant to represent us the fans after all and not just be another share-holder!
Mark Posted 2 November 2006 Posted 2 November 2006 It astounds me to think we haven't had proper investment in 122 years, then when someone as high profile as Milan Mandaric comes along and makes us an offer the board claim they need weeks to think it over. I know we don't know the full facts, but come on, I'd rather experience the whatever the Milan Mandaric era holds then the shite we've had over the past 3 seasons. As for these other investors, where the hell have they appeared from then? They are only interested now having heard of a potential takeover, they thought it was now or never. They shouldn't have even been considered. It's been evident for years that we need a change up top. We need a footballing man who has some idea about running a football club, in charge of this football club.
