Andy murray has a bet with his coach. the coach bet that crouch would score 25 goals in the prem this season, talk about easy money for murray, crouch has no chance with that squad rotation system, and even without the rotation.

Just shows that Americans know nothing about football :P

Awesome goal! When I saw that ball go into the box and Crouch throw a spindly leg at it, I was thinking 'this is going into row Z!'

Then half a second later I realised how wrong I was!

Top Goal.

Do you think he should be picked over OWen when he is fully fit? :unsure:

YES! Crouch isn't brilliant but he's not a bad player.

Owen = overrated.

Without a doubt for me. Crouch has been consistent for England so far this term (albeit against weaker opposition; Owen is finding it difficult to score.) Owen is struggling for goals and isn't really delivering on a regular basis, and so he shouldnt start ahead of the man in form. I thought only the people doing the business and peforming well regularly were meant to play for their country??

Well that depends. Crouch might be in good form now, but he might have a slump once Owen gets back. Owen's out for the foreseeable future anyway, so it's kind of irrelevant.

Personally I don't see why Rooney should be assured of a first team place either, or Lampard/Gerrard for that matter.

Owen worked well with Shearer back then, as well as with Heskey at Liverpool at the time, so he definitely flourishes with big strikers partnering him (e.g. Crouch).
