Ric Flair Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 before this Thursday's Loan deadline? To be honest if we don't then I think it's pretty shocking. Kelly said a few weeks ago that he still intended to bring someone in on loan and now that we've moved a step closer to a take-over deal then i'm sure the club could risk allowing Kelly the opportunity to bring one or two players in on a short term loan. The thing is, we've missed out some good midfielders over the past few weeks. I'm sure there are some more out there available, but i'd have liked to have seen Liam Lawrence and Tommy Miller here until January.

Anything... please. Just not another week of the Andy and Stephen show with speical guest Richard Stearmen.

Manwell Pablo Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Where's that lad plying his trade? Not heard of him, i'm intrigued. is that the watford youngster? Watford. Some very promising lads coming through there. Al Bangoura being another.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Watford. Some very promising lads coming through there. Al Bangoura being another. I dont think Kelly will be allowed. They usually place a transfer embargo (incl. loan deals) when a takeover is going through. As MM is looking over the books at the mo I cant see Kelly getting anyone.

Master Fox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 is that the watford youngster? Jordon Stewart...
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 The Stephen and Andy show it is then The shocking thing is Hughes didnt look too bad when he joined us. His dip in form has been drastic... Andy Johnson - Wank
Thracian Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 The Stephen and Andy show it is then I presume that'll be Andy King then.
The People's Hero Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 The shocking thing is Hughes didnt look too bad when he joined us. His dip in form has been drastic... Andy Johnson - Wank Yeah... but the coaching at the club is brilliant? Right?
Manwell Pablo Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 I presume that'll be Andy King then. If it was up to me I honestly would be thinking hard about it if I was foreced to choose between them. I'd go for King in midfieldover Stearmen any day. With Weso and Williams hopefully there will be no place for any of them .
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Yeah... but the coaching at the club is brilliant? Right? Yeah look at Lee Morris, twice the player when he left City Also how long is Willams gonna be our saviour???

I'd go for King in midfieldover Stearmen any day. With Weso and Williams hopefully there will be no place for any of them . No question - if both are fit. But I wouldn't want either getting further long-term injuries because they've been asked to do too much again, too soon. And if they are fit then King should be one of the guys on the bench so we can take Williams off and still have a proper attacking midfielder. Either that or bring Welsh on an move Porter into midfield. I cannot believe Kelly would persist with Stearman when he's got the option of specialist attacking midfield players like those two.
The People's Hero Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Yeah look at Lee Morris, twice the player when he left City Also how long is Willams gonna be our saviour??? Williams is probably the most talented and gifted player at city. It's up to the coaches and management team to get the best out of him. I'm sick of the debate over Williams. The fact is that Rob Kelly and the rest of the team have failed where many others have in motivating him and getting his best role sorted out. That is a failure on their behalf. They are not unique in failing to get the best out of Williams... managers have failed before, that said, as pointed out by BartonFox and in some cases by others on this forum and others, ROB KELLY IS NOT A GOOD MAN MANAGER and has fallen out with many members of the playing staff!
bald reynard Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 before this Thursday's Loan deadline? Didn't know there was a Loan Deadline this Thursday - tell me (and others I am sure !) more ?
davieG Posted 22 November 2006 Author Posted 22 November 2006 Didn't know there was a Loan Deadline this Thursday - tell me (and others I am sure !) more ? In this Sky Report
sam_lcfc Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 Sheff Utd have put 4 players up for loan. Including Unsworth and Shipperly...I know they are both old but i feel shipperly especially could do a job for us...he knows this league very well and although he must be nearing 20stone he does still surprisingly score!!! If not surely there are plenty of fringe premiership players (i.e Hendrie at Stoke) that would come to Leicester, easy to get in the team (esp if they are a midfielder), good facilities etc etc... And our profile has been boosted by the interest shown by Mandaric. Thoughts....?
Thracian Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 Can't we sink the Shipp? I'm not against getting a goalscoring loanee but does anyone seriously suggest the foundering Shipp is a better bet than young Dodds? There is a reason people no longer want him in the side. Let's leave him to enjoy a well-earned retirement.
