Ric Flair Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Leeds are due to release him. I can't think of a better right winger on a free transfer than this lad, he's worth an 18 month deal. He gave us the run around at The Walkers last season.

Ric Flair Posted 21 November 2006 Author Posted 21 November 2006 Eh? Is Wise termanating his contract? So i've heard. Wise is going crazy there, letting everyone go.
Dr The Singh Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Leeds are due to release him. I can't think of a better right winger on a free transfer than this lad, he's worth an 18 month deal. He gave us the run around at The Walkers last season. Nah Ric!!!! He's too attack minded for RK, I mean, he may pass the half way line, take on players, support the front 1, and get a few crosses in the box.............plus we have Sylla, Maybury and Low, how are just as able to defend the right the back!!!
Thracian Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Nah Ric!!!! He's too attack minded for RK, I mean, he may pass the half way line, take on players, support the front 1, and get a few crosses in the box.............plus we have Sylla, Maybury and Low, how are just as able to defend the right the back!!! Yeah. Gradel's like that and a fat lot of good it's done him. Take players on!!!! What and risk losing the ball?. If the manager ever sanctions it, which is debateable, the crowd won't - at least if it doesn't work. Look at Porter against Colchester. No wonder he's gone back to passing and keeping it simple, which is actually what he's good at. He won't want that stick again.
surrifox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 So i've heard. Wise is going crazy there, letting everyone go. got to get the funds together to pay Blackwell , who's suing the ba***ds for wrongful dismissal!! They'll be paying off wise before long.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Carole is a good player and he tormented us down at the Withdean Stadium. Yep I'd put him on my shopping list although Jamal Campbell-Ryce has always done it for me as well (when he played for Rotherham), but he's gone a bit quiet at Southend.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 got to get the funds together to pay Blackwell , who's suing the ba***ds for wrongful dismissal!! They'll be paying off wise before long. In May, when he's relegated them.
potter3 Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 I thought we should have tryed to get Carole and Frutos when they got relegated. I also rate Carlos Edwards from Luton, both times at their stadium he looked dangerous.
Stevosevic Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Just heard Shipperley and Unsworth are available on loan from Sheff Utd on SSN. surely a player like Shipperly is what we need.
MBK Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Leeds under Blackwell was the perfect retirement home along Norwich. At least we only have one of those.
Ric Flair Posted 21 November 2006 Author Posted 21 November 2006 Just heard Shipperley and Unsworth are available on loan from Sheff Utd on SSN. surely a player like Shipperly is what we need. I'd take both of them. Unsworth might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's better than McCarthy and Nisse. Shippers is the sort of player we need if Kelly is to pursure this long ball fetish.
The People's Hero Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 I'd take both of them. Unsworth might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's better than McCarthy and Nisse. Shippers is the sort of player we need if Kelly is to pursure this long ball fetish. Agreed. If RK is staying, Shippers is worth a punt (literally) (no not in the sense of a small boat). Otherwise. No.
bold_fox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 We dont' want players like Shipperley ! He's a money grapping cart-horse.
Stevosevic Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 We dont' want players like Shipperley ! He's a money grapping cart-horse. hes better than the crap we have at the moment
Sods Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 We dont' want players like Shipperley ! He's a money grapping cart-horse. but he scores goals
The People's Hero Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 We dont' want players like Shipperley ! He's a money grapping cart-horse. You're right, let's stick with Elv... I can't bring myself to say it.
bold_fox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Does he score goals though ? Not really. He's scored a few important goals, thats all. He's not what we want. Just a waste of time, and will never happen anyway
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Does he score goals though ? A career recoerd of around one every three games suggests he does!
The People's Hero Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Better than Elvis' one every 15 or something. Or put in simpler terms, one every 85 chances.
bold_fox Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 A career recoerd of around one every three games suggests he does! Link ? i think you've made that up
Mark Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 Link ? i think you've made that up http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=7252 Not far off, but one in four (league games) would be closer to the truth. I wouldn't go near Shipperly at this stage in his career, if we were desperate like in a relegation battle perhaps as a short term fix. Signing Shipperly isn't going to help out our invisible midfield which is the most important position we need to sort out, it will only encourage more long balls from the back.
Thracian Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 I'd never dream of having Shipperly rather than Dodds at this stage of their resepctive careers. What the hell has everyone got against Dodds?. Is it cos he's local or what? Sixty goals in three seasons, described by Kelly himself as the "best natural finisher at the club" including Hume and we talk about Shipperly. It is not as if Dodds has ever had the glimmer of a chance as yet.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 November 2006 Posted 21 November 2006 The following post is brought to you in the style of The People's Hero; Elvis? Elvis? We'd better off with Elves up front. Two of the fu ckers. Sorted. Wahey! Ole! Cockbadger. Wan kers.
