Daggers Posted 9 January 2007 Share Posted 9 January 2007 You going Dave? If I'd answered this two hours ago the answer was a definite 'yes' ~ but I've just been offered an interview starting at 11:30 and I'm trying to work out how long it is on for...normally these things go through till late afternoon. If I can get away by three and down to New Street for 4:30-5:00 then I'll be going for sure. Hopefully I will find out by tomorrow. If it's on then you're in charge of waking me up when we return Which train were you planning on returning on Nev? The 10:40?

Floating Fox Posted 9 January 2007 Share Posted 9 January 2007 10:25 is cutting it a bit mate, me and jon blue fox missed our train home from QPR and had to get switched to a leeds train 40 mins later although we did stop off a harrods which slowed us down a bit Basically if it goes xtra time you're screwed Should be getting the National Express coach now for a fiver Return coach leaves at 23:30 so plenty of time. Not sure, FT will be my last resort <_<

Monk Posted 11 January 2007 Share Posted 11 January 2007 I live in Wimbledon so it will be a nice easy district line trip home! To the guys getting back to st pancras - the problem will not be the duration of the tube journey but how long it will take you to get on the tube. Memories of the QPR game spring to mind - I was waiting to get a train for about 15 or 20 minutes. I do know that there is a hostel opposite kings cross station for anyone who cannot get back. I just hope I can get a ticket on Friday!

I just hope I can get a ticket on Friday! I've got to get back to Victoria for 11.30pm, i'm hoping we should be alright. But as you say, QPR was a right bastard. Kept in the ground for 20 mins, then escorted out and treated like animals. Managed to escape from the old bill and leg it to the tube station as I needed a beer, but the tube station was rammed. Aaah well, i'm more than happy for a night on the tear down there and get the first train back!! Got mates down there too, could possibly turn up at their gaff in the early hours. Monk, where you thinking of boozing before the game? I've heard Eight Bells in Fulham is good for away fans? I'm getting down very, very early, so where do you suggest to drink in London? Don't mind where it is as we'll get an all day pass on the rattler.

Are they on sale from midnight tonight or do you have to wait until the ticket office opens tomorrow to book on-line?

I don't know of any pubs in Fulham - I've never been there. Eight Bells looks good though: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/10/...s/Putney_Bridge I'll be coming over from Liverpool St after work - so will be in the pub from around 6.30. Nice. A win will go nicely with my pint.

Get to Paddington around 1pm should take 45 minutes to get to and check into the hotel. So I'll be ready for a few jars about 2pm. Just say when and where My hotel is about 100 yards from Piccadilly Circus so a few in that area will do me for starters. All Bar One in Leicester Square for a bit of Lunch maybe. If you fancy an entertaining late night after the game, head to the Flying Scotsman near St Pancras station! A real eye opener with a pint or two!!! I'm getting in to London early doors, so we should meet up if we can son.
