Mark Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 http://www.theposh.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Ne...~960076,00.html Posh Sign Leicester City Winger LowJosh Low signsPeterborough United have completed the signing of Leicester City winger Josh Low on a three and a half year contract and the former Northampton Town star will go straight into the squad for Saturday's FA Cup tie with Plymouth Argyle. Low moves to London Road for a fee which could reach £100,000 with add-ons. The 27-year-old is hoping to make it a hat-trick of promotions after helping Cardiff City and Northampton Town win promotion, on both occasions being selected in the PFA Divisional Team of the Year. Posh boss Keith Alexander told theposh.com: 'We have been looking for a wide right player for some time. He is a player proven at this level, he has good ability and will improve us as a squad and that is what we are looking to achieve. 'Josh is a very good player and the type of experienced quality we are looking to bring to the club. He has been successful wherever he has been and hopefully he will be a success at London Road,' Alexander said. Low, speaking to The Posh World, said: 'The management really sold me the club and I am delighted to be here. It is a club that really wants to move forward, they are doing the right things and hopefully get out of this league as soon as possible. I know this level well having played with Northampton and I know what is required to get out of this league. 'I know one or two players already like Danny Crow and Trevor Benjamin and I am sure they will help me settle in. I normally operate on the right side of midfield, but I can play on the left and have also played down as a striker. I am looking forward to getting started,' Low said. 100k, we've done a bit of good business for once, somehow.
Geo V Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Thats a good bit of business to start things off. At least it proves that Kelly isnt waiting for the Mandaric money! Peterboro have come into some money some how and we must applaud them for there purchase, especially as they bought Benji off of us a couple of seasons back as well!!!
Sods Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 This is great news. Thanx who changed the thread name. genius you are! Who shall we spend it on
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Who said RK shouldn't be trusted with money? Probably made a fair profit on him, when you take wages into account.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Is this the start of a great new era? (Or just this year's sell-out?)
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Josh lowe has GONE, to peterborough for 100k. Not sure if this has been posted but i did look! Beat me to it. I'll never forgive him for his blunder against Villa... Get lost Low.
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Is this the start of a great new era? (Or just this year's sell-out?) If we can ship Andy Johnson and Darren Kenton out, and spin some money from players like Nissa and Tiatto who are out of contract at the end of the year anyway, I'd say it was a great new era.
Geo V Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 100k and the future is looking bright already!! Bring on the fooking Cottagers!!!!!!
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 If we can ship Andy Johnson and Darren Kenton out, and spin some money from players like Nissa and Tiatto who are out of contract at the end of the year anyway, I'd say it was a great new era. Don't forget Douglas, DeVries and Sylla.
The People's Hero Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Brings a new meaning to Posh Wank, at least they will be now.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Good bit of business by Kelly. Who in their right minds would pay £100k for him?
RowlattsFox Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 it says could rise to 100,000. wonder what it depends on?
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 Don't forget Douglas, DeVries and Sylla. Thanks for Reminding me. That's ruined my day, thinking about them bandits. But yeah... you're right. HaHa. So, back to League Two it is, Josh. Just think, if you'd have stayed at Northampton, you'd be in League One.
Joe. Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 I actually can't believe it! Well done Rob. 100k. Are they for real? We actually made 100k out of him!!! Kelly can be good when he wants to be...
lookwhaticando Posted 4 January 2007 Posted 4 January 2007 it says could rise to 100,000. wonder what it depends on? Appearances. Promotion. Relegation avoidance (we paid that for Fryatt, I think it was said). Appearances and Promotion are the typical add-ons. I doubt there'll be any for England national squad appearances. Edit: Seeing as the Posh website says he's looking to make it 'a hat trick of promotions' we can safely assume promotion is one add-on.
