davieG Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Now we've got all this cover, can we shoot Elvis Hammond?Or loan him to me? He can be my chauffeur. He'd probably have you stuck in one of these at every set of traffic lights you pass.
who-izzet Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 I have seen him play for Brighton a few seasons ago and I seen him play for Tottenham V Chelsea. Against Chelsea he was way out of his debth and Brighton a pile of shite. Sounds like he done alright for Colchester last season though. He played FIFTY-TWO games scoring 5 goals. His stats this season are funny. 6 games for Hull without a goal and Hull lost 4 drawn 2 and scored just TWO!
Wils Posted 31 January 2007 Posted 31 January 2007 Been talking to a few of mates tonight,Colchester Fans, and they were speaking highly of him said hes got a great touch and hes very quick. Hmm hope its true but well see.
lookwhaticando Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Never heard of him. But he's here now... so best of luck to him. Hopefully he'll have a blinding spell here and prove that RK knows how to find decent players. After all, he could do with proving it before he's let loose with the 2m Mandaric is giving us.
Geo V Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 I spoke to a Spurs mate of mine who said that he is quite pacy but hasnt many tricks. He did OK last season for Colchester but worryingly they were offered him again this season on a permanent deal or loan and they said no apparently. Strangely enough he signed a new contract with Spurs after that so he must be rated by Jol as you wouldnt think they would keep him if he was pants and out of contract!
jaffa1970 Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Tiatto or weso's new theme song.... Yeats to the left of me Levi to the right Here I am Stuck in the middle with Hughes to the tune of "Stuck in the middle with you"
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Good stuff... Talking to a Tottenham mate who was saying he was on the fringe and lost out to Dean Marney, so hopefully he'll be hungry for games.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Im hungrym now i've read that! Large Donner kebab and no salad for lunch i reckon!!!!
Jon the Hat Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 to the tune of "Stuck in the middle with you" No sh!t.
Wils Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Tiatto or weso's new theme song.... Yeats to the left of me Levi to the right Here I am Stuck in the middle with Hughes to the tune of "Stuck in the middle with you" Could be worse..Stuck in the Middle with AJ.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 February 2007 Posted 1 February 2007 Well the way you're talking Eddie Yeates (from Corrie in the early 80s) sounds better You can't beat a birra Corrie !!
lookwhaticando Posted 2 February 2007 Posted 2 February 2007 That's Jim Royle's mate! Twiggy - a greedy scrounging git that fella.
OzFox311 Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 I have heard a bit about Yeates in other football forums... good youngster apparently.... and will do the club well according to the Colchester fans... If he does do well, then hopefully we can get him long term.... RK has done a lot wrong in his time at the blues, but he has at least given us some nice youngsters for the future... and Yeates could be another one... Good luck to him, lets hope he can spark the midfield, because at the rate Paddy K is scoring, if he gets good service, he and the Porter/Hume/Horsfield combination may finally see the Foxes get some much needed goals...

Flynny Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 He's only on loan though, he ain't ours... Which is why he said "hopefully we can get him long term." Though on one performance, that is a little premature.
lildave3 Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Scored with his first touch for the club, not bad is it?
Leicfox Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Goal aside, few texts in on RL saying he's crap, poor crossing, poor touch and no work rate, wotso ever.
lookwhaticando Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Which is why he said "hopefully we can get him long term." Though on one performance, that is a little premature. He actually posted before the game... so he said he wanted Yeates to be here long term without seeing/hearing him in action for us at all. Not even after one performance.
Craig Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 Goal aside, few texts in on RL saying he's crap, poor crossing, poor touch and no work rate, wotso ever. I believe they were sarcastic. I thought he was great.
Webbo Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 I believe they were sarcastic. I thought he was great. i didn't think he did much apart from score.
Libertine Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 I thought he was great. We looked good when we used the wings.
Bluefoxtim Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 3 crosses in 2 minutes and every single one as bad as the one before. That sums up his performance. He scored. That's it. Had about 10 crosses in the game, I think 1 was just about ok. No im not being harsh. Horsefield looks pretty good though
lcfc_jme Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 He had a better game than Josh Low ever did - him scoring highlights that fact. But his overall performance needs a lot of work. Crossing wasn't up to much and didn't get at the defense as much as I'd have liked him to. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt seeing as it was his first game. Hope he gets better.
Joe. Posted 3 February 2007 Posted 3 February 2007 How nice it was to see a proper winger. Yeah he didn't do huge amounts but he wasn't bad. At least he can take people on and get a cross in. He put better corners in than usual, which isn't hard though. Overall not bad really.
