What's your current "Top Ten things in your life"?

Recommended Posts

Posted

My list, liable to change on a very frequent basis:

  • The kids ~ you can never have too many hugs
  • The wife ~ she's a honey
  • My 1970's LED watch ~ design absolute
  • Gin ~ the drink of champions
  • Milan Manderic ~ where there is darkness you will find light
  • The Xbox 360 ~ it's why a University teaches electronic engineering
  • Broadband ~ name it, search it, find it
  • MP3's & downloading ~ screw paying music company bloodsuckers
  • Digital audio broadcasting ~ have you ever spent time on a tranny tuning it in?
  • Not having to work tomorrow ~ another gin? Why don't mind if I do.

Erm...I can feel a change coming on already

1) My Family. I'm a lucky guy with a terrific wife and three terrific kids, grandkids, all round support from my mother and sisters etc.

2) My health. This year's been the first in over 20 years I've had so much as a cold and it is always worth going the last mile for your body.

3) My Freedom. Being able to get up and do what I choose instead of being subject to other people's needs.

4) My car. It is a modest vehicle but it takes me to so many places and events that enhance my life.

5) My friends. I haven't got lots but I do value those I have and would do my very best to help them if at all possible.

6) The Internet. Marvellous invention. As someone who is nothing if not a communicator it is a godsend both for business, pleasure and personal development. The way it enables you to keep in touch with people is a great big plus.

7) My noticeboard. My day planner if you like. I'm intent on filling the days with lots of positive things - from buying apartments in Dubai to planning picnics at the Grand National. Negative days are outlawed.

8) Music. I love music of so many kinds depending on my mood. From classical music to the hardest rock and all moods in between I'd far sooner have music than chat shows on a long journey.

9) Food. My son is qualifying as a proper chef and my wife is an excellent cook. I have hardly had a bad meal in my life and have no desire to start.

10) My happiness. Having my wife desperately ill has made me more aware of and sympathetic to other people's suffering. Seeing her smiling again has lifted every aspect of life once again and I'm keen for that happiness to continue.

1. Family - a few scares recently has made me realise just how important they are and just how much they care for me and I care for them. Legends - all of them.

2. The Lady - over 5 years now and still going strong. She's a good girl, pretty and a right laugh. Very few dull moments (including the fights!).

3. Mates - got a great set in London, a few in Bristol and am still very close to my Leicester boys even if they are now scattered around the country.

4. Leicester City - of course.

5. Sport - couldn't possibly live without it!

6. Music - a never ending love affair. Whether I'm watching, listening, mixing, producing, playing...

7. My Career - well it takes up most of my waking life so I should really try and enjoy it. I'm ambitious and strive to do well.

8. Gadgets - my laptop, sound system, Ipod, digital camera, etc etc. Sucker for material possessions but they ARE fun!

9. Travel - I love seeing the world and its people, even with a full time job I've managed to visit Sweden, Croatia, France, Scotland, Wales, Egypt, Cyprus, Bosnia and Italy in the past year.

10. The Internet - whether it's a good thing or a bad thing it certainly enhances my life.
