Maybes Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Sweet. I didnt get a chance to see it on tv. Thanks
Bryn Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 I'm disgusted. The extent to which those highlights are selected to make West Brom look like the superior side is unreal. They didn't show the extent to which Rennie over penalised us, nor did they show any of our chances. It made us look like we'd had about two shots all game and West Brom had had loads. It also dwelled on Kamara's moments, to make him look like the man of the match. I'm appalled, and I won't be watching The Championship ever again.

Steven Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 not sure if allready posted or not but here we go Ta.
Bryn Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Quite a number. We spent most of the time between the start of the second half and the 85th minute in posession.
a-fox Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 we actually sound quite a intimidating stadium for teams to come to on there with all the whistles cheers and boos
Leonisco Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 I'm appalled, and I won't be watching The Championship ever again. The thing that gets me most about that programme is that they seem to feature Crystal Palace every other week! Even though they're a crap, mid-table side not really playing for anything. I reckon Simon Jordan's been giving ITV backhanders. I'll still watch it though, it's better than watching the goals on East Midlands Today where they're all blatant Forest fans.
Simi Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 We got lucky at the end. Rennie blew his whistle when they were clean through on goal.
Jon the Hat Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 .......... they're all blatant Forest fans. Don't blame them. They deserve our pity not our condemnation...
lcfc_jme Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Thanks for that as I didn't get to watch the Championship 'cos I'm lazy and were asleep. Those highlights do not reflect the true balance of play as West Brom look mightily superior to us on there when in actual fact they were not. Horsfield was lucky to stay on - he'd have walked any other day. Great finish by McAuley as well.
He's not bald Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Good goal. Yep was a good header, first time I've seen it even though I was right behind that goal on Saturday..bleedin text messages..and btw The Horse was very lucky to stay on the pitch!
Glen_lcfc Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Funny how Brom were clear through on our goal as the final whistle went haha!!
Scow Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 ITV are just poo. Hughes had two decent chances in the second half. One from a half cleared corner, which fell nicely for him, only to pathetically balloon over the bar. The other being a header from Hume's cross. More of a chance than Ellington's wayward shot from 25 yards.
Daggers Posted 26 February 2007 Posted 26 February 2007 Quite a number. We spent most of the time between the start of the second half and the 85th minute in posession. You need to study the stats - WBA had 60% of the possession
MC Prussian Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 Bloody hell, that's one long report for an LCFC match. They're usually as short as 2 to 3 minutes. I do agree, the coverage doesn't do the match any justice. From what I heard, we looked by far more threatening in the second half and on TV, it's all West Brom (e.g. Kamara). At least Mandy showed up again!
Onion Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 it was the feautured game on The Championship, also the ref blew the first whistle before they made that pass on goal.
Bryn Posted 27 February 2007 Posted 27 February 2007 You need to study the stats - WBA had 60% of the possession Often happens when the team is on the back foot, they spend so much time in possession in their own half. Plus West Brom probably did have possesion about for a out 60% of the first half so factoring in that as well, the stats are about right. And who ever said stats were a true reflection of anything? JJ had 7 fouls committed in the stats, but how many were truly fouls? And as for the through on goal thing, that wouldn't have happened if Kissy hadn't heard the whistle and stopped playing, and also if Rennie had blown the whistle a minute earlier like he was meant to.
