Fez of Mahrez Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Just wondering, what with Milan's plan being a three-year one and all... What's the lowest league position we could finish next season that you'd be fairly happy with and wouldn't be hounding out the manager, whoever that might be? EDIT: Haha, I've made 8008 posts. Snigger.
Brainy Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Depends how much money is spent in the summer. If its spent well, 12th.
JoeyB Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 2nd but if im not being stupid 12th manager depending
Ultra Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 If Derby can go from 20th place last season to potential champions this time around, I see no reason why we couldn't make a similar leap next year. Assuming of course Mandaric knows what he is doing, and brings a proper manager in.
Flynny Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Depends. With a good manager and upwards of 2 million spent, playoffs. With a decent manager and more than 1.5 million spent, 10th. 12th is nowhere. It's not really progress unless we nearly go down this season (which looks more and more possible). I know 10th isn't either, but it just... sounds better somehow. And implies less time spent scratching around in the bottom half.
Phube Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Top 10, but looking like we could push on the following season!!

Matt Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Don't matter where we finish you'll have to accept it, because even if you don't accept it, it ain't gonna change anything!
shen Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 Don't really care as long as we don't go down. We don't have the team to challenge for a playoff place as it is, so a great deal of team rebuilding needs to be done if we Mandaric's 3-year plan is to bear fruit.
dandannieldanok Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 In the Championship, 12th with signs of upwards momentum. If relegation, in League 1, 2nd.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 14th. I'm not expecting a 2 month miracle, but I'd like to see some progress.
lcfc_jme Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 The league will be harder next season, and we have been bollocks this season. 13th.
Spee-d Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 We'll hav to wait and see before the start of next season. Top half of the table would be good, i guess. Would be progress.

Come on Ultra ffs, you know how much money they've thrown around to achieve that turn around and you know we wont have that much. The bloke said three years let him have his three years.
holly Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 ummmmm i think top half, would love to finish play-offs or top 2 but we all know that wont happen first season!
Toby or not Toby Posted 31 March 2007 Posted 31 March 2007 top half minimum should be our target then the following season we can add to the squad and push on into the top 6
