HORSFIELD TARGETS LEICESTER STAY

Leicester striker Geoff Horsfield hopes to win a permanent move to the club by shooting the Foxes to victory over his former club Birmingham.

Horsfield faces his former club looking to not only bolster his chances of earning a permanent move from Sheffield United but also aid the Foxes' chances of staying in the Championship.

The Foxes sit just two points clear of the drop zone ahead of Tuesday evening's clash and Horsfield said: "I would have no problem with scoring a goal that beat Blues even if it ultimately cost them automatic promotion.

"I still have a massive affection for Birmingham and I don't want them not to go up and still think they will get promotion. But I'd be happy for them to leave the Walkers Stadium with nothing. They will find it difficult at our place.

"On a personal note, I am in limbo and need to earn a contract as I have no future at Sheffield United. I have only scored twice in 10 games so it is important I play well."

So will The Horse be starting tonight then ?

You can lead The Horse to the Goal but you can't make him Score!

Let this waste of space go, whats he done to earn a new contract? Always looks either disinterested or two yards slow, and only now he wants to put in the effort! what was wrong with 2-3 weeks back when we needed it most? **** off Horsefield

He talks a good game but he needs to improve dramatically this evening to make an impact. He played well against Cov, more of the same tonight Horse.

Id agree with that in most part, but against Cov he was up against Page and Whing who are possibly the worst defenders in the country let alone the championship...I think I would have bagged a brace myself :D

That would be so ****ing funny if he did. lol

It would be the most ridiculous part of a very stupid season. Hell, while we're at it let's give all under-performing, no-talent ****nuts full-time contracts - it wouldn't be that odd would it? I mean to say, we gave contracts to Johnson, Hughes and the rest of them!

:nono:

The man is 33, his legs are gone. He doesnt care about Leicester. He just wants a new contract so he can sit on his arse all day and collect wages. I aint having that. So piss off Geoff to Sheffield United or wherever it was you came from.

He`ll score 20 goals for us next season, if we go down that is! I think thats teh only chance he has got of staying. He has put some shocking performances in since he came on loan and is a far cry from what a loanee looking for a permanent deal should be as his efforts have been poor to say the least. I think Southend should get him as replacement for Eastwood who will join us in the summer for £1.7m :unsure::whistle:

I'd hate him to stay

Waste of space, just not good enough.

I agree with the vast majority of you all... he needs to go.

By his own admission all he wants is a new contract so he really doesn't have the clubs best interests at heart... I personally think he would be mortified to see Birmingham not go up as he obviously still loves them...

If its down to you horsefield, im sure birmingham would be feelign greatly relaxed and releived right now

I don't think Geoff should be here next season, he said when he came he was ready for a fight and he hasn't shown that, he has nothing to offer us really

His performance on saturday is enough to kick the donkey out.

He came on and looked absolutely knackered. Didn't challenge for ONE header out of the 20 that were lumped up to him.

Did he even touch it?

Donkeyfield... feck off
