Two early wickets for Ian Holland. What a great signing he is turning out to be!

Bit of the Darren Stevens about his bowling. not sure how he'll do with the Kookaburra ball.

Great coverage on the Lancashire stream.

Proving to be a really solid acquisition with both bat and ball for us. Does whatever job we need as well, whether it's opening the bowling or the batting he steps in and does a steady job.

Would expect nothing less, he's literally a Cricket Superstar

Quite a good move to put Lancs in, if you look at the weather forecast.

Anyone batting first is likely to have the disruption of rain breaks, whereas whoever bats second is likely to see the best of the conditions (Saturday p.m. and Sunday).

Saw Hurst make his first ton last year and he's a very legsided player.

Making it too easy for him here with the lines we're bowling.

We are missing Wright's consistency. Van Beek wasted the new ball yesterday

Yeah I think we probably missed our opportunity to put ourselves in a position to win the game yesterday- can't see there being enough in an Old Trafford pitch in April for either side to take 20 wickets now, particularly with rain forecast on Monday.

50 for Rehan. He might become a better batter than bowler.

On another note, I can think of worst things than sharing the commentary box with the lovely Phoebe Graham. I hope Richard Rae appreciates this and does not keep delving into his Wisdens.

Agreed! It’s super coverage on LancsTV to be fair. Excellent camera work and good commentary. And all for free.

So pleased for him. When his tail's up he's a great bowler to watch.

Wild that he's batting Jack too in a year where I thought he'd move up a place or two in the order most games.

With our batting depth we shouldn’t really lose a game, should draw at worst. Given the ludicrous points system it might just take us up.

we’ve got to bat for 110 overs then declare (or stop at 450 if we get there first). Get as many bonus points as we can in that time then rip into them tonight.

Kimber needs to work out his game in the 2nds for a while, last 7 first-class scores read 0, 8, 2, 4, 5, 2 and 8. Game has fallen apart since being called up last summer for Birmingham Phoenix in the stupid Hundred.

Couldn't agree more over Kimber. He wouldn't have been an automatic pick (for me) in the T20 side, let alone as captain.

He seems to have enormous credit in the bank with the coaches, but as you say, his recent form has been dismal.

What is someone like Trevaskis going to make of this...? If people start to think that a meritocracy is being bypassed, that's damaging in any environment.

For me, this is the only worry in what's otherwise been an impressive start by the team this season.
