Watched most of the play yesterday. Every batsman got in, bowling looked hard work. Logic says this should be a fairly boring draw if conditions don’t change massively. Probably be after lunch when we get to bat. Bat till teatime tomorrow minimum and we should be fine.

Need more then 11 players Tommy  plus Handcomb don't want to keep wicket anymore he only took over in gloves in 2023 to boost his chances of Ashes selection. Regarding Salary Swindells not on a huge amount  and it's important to keep some local academy lads at the club

Doesn't seem that arsed about keeping wicket......

As I said if Cox is out Handscomb or Hill are more than capable of standing in, the fact we've done that rather than bring Swindells in speaks volumes, despite you saying Handscomb doesn't want to do it

Seems negative but I feel like we need to bat to not lose to begin with here and  see where we are at. A draw would be an excellent result against a team that are bang in form and are not far behind. A draw for us is closer to promotion given our positions in table. Bat slowly and sensibly and re-asses this time tomrrow?

Disagree slightly- stick to the usual plan, hope the top 3 get us off to a flyer then let the middle order bat properly.

Things seem to be able to change pretty quickly with the Kookaburra, so try and cash in whilst the going is good!

Yeah fair, better way to look at it.

A draw of course would be good, but with 6 wins, we're only a win and a draw away from Yorkshires promotion points total last season.

I'd rather we looked to get draws in September silly season when you get about 2 days play if you're lucky lol

A win would be excellent but a draw is equally as valuable against a promotion rival. It would keep us at least 40+ ahead of them.

If we win, and if Derbyshire put Gloucs away (which is looking highly likely), the gap to 3rd is going to be astronomical.

We shouldn't be silly in the way we approach it, there's plenty of time- I've no doubt that they will be trying to win it though.

We’re 206 behind currently with 10 wickets left, so a lead is possible provided we don’t do anything stupid. And a lead would pretty much rule out a loss unless something stupid happens. Will be interesting if we can keep going at 4.5rpo

We've upped the scoring rate in the last few overs... wouldn't hold your breath on not 'doing anything stupid' lol

You never know with this team. One thing for sure is that it’s an absolute road. Green must’ve bowled very well this morning.
