Yeah it's just stupid, he needed to stay with cox we are already over 10 an over, steady it for 2 or 3 then go again, but now 5 down and that long haired nob still has 2 overs left.

Might sound a little harsh here but sometimes feels a little like Budinger thinks “I’ve got a decent-ish score here, sod it”

It’s a defendable score but unfortunately not enough. Some poor shots to get out tonight. Said in the run up after Sol’s 50 he’ll get out, lo and behold he does. Rehan with a silly shot. Had such a good start as well. 70 off 6 overs.

I think it's more frustration with Budinger, because he does what he's in the team for, but he'd be some player if he could also play the situation, tonight being a prime example

Totally get that. Just seems harsh when everyone else fails and he still cops it worse than the others.

 

He gets better every year at tempering his worst excesses and he's a net positive for the team. Plus, a gun fielder.

Who would be a bowler in T20? The batters let you down and you have to come in to try and make up for the mess they’ve made, and then they expect you to bowl out the oppo with nothing to defend?

A very comfortable chase for them. Disappointing loss of course, but still 5 games left to play. Northants coming back to the pack as well.

I think it is the frustration that irritates me because he could be even better than he is. Against Glamorgan the other week he got his first hundred. Given the pitch he could’ve knuckled down and made it a big one, possibly even a double ton with his ability. But he just decided to leather every ball and got caught.
