Shan has hit 382 runs but nobody else has got above 300, Hill, Patel and Budinger in particular very disappointing. One of the reasons for Shan’s strike rate is that he’s always been rebuilding.

 

Today all we had to do was see of the first 4/5 overs when the ball stopped moving as it was an easy pitch to bat on. If we were 0-0 after those overs then fine. Instead we lost 4 daft wickets and the game was realistically gone.

Mike hits a long ball.

 

Next season I'd like to see him used at 5 or 6 in white ball cricket. Think he'd more than replace Kimber's runs in that role.

Yep. It's been a really poor campaign - the top order batting has been the big problem. We've generally been 3 or 4 down too quickly to take the kind of risks needed late in the innings to get a really big score.

Really poor with the white ball all summer really. Still, we've been brilliant with the red ball and that's all that matters this year in my eyes.
