Caught down the leg side 2nd from last ball  of the day last night off Patel. Ball took a big deflection and he must have known he had hit it. Seems Glamorgan have some very salty fans and commentators ,bless

Thanks.

I went for the first session yesterday and I have to say some of their appealing left a lot to be desired.

Celebratory ones that are clearly not out aren’t in the spirit of the game for me.

Great to see Sol back from injury and playing in our Second XI match against (of all teams) Glamorgan that's just started:

Starting XI: SG Budinger, R Rajashekar, AS Kalsi, LJ Hill*, D Fanibanda, GW Maddy†, Raheem Ahmed, MS Rizvi, A Farooq, JTS Sumerauer, H Cox, TS Marshall

Reckon Sumerauer will still be in the 2nds when he's 40

I am quite keen to get to Trent bridge for the Metro Cup final BUT wanted to leave my purchase to the last few days, went last time and was very empty BUT a mate has said sales are going well.  The problem I have is, I have tickets to the final day of the BMW PGA at Wentworth as well.  But would rather cheer on the boys ideally.  Anybody know about sales or think it will sell out, it is a Sunday & capacity I think is 18,000???

Also whats the crack for a reserve day if the weather should curtail the final or its not played, anybody know?

Don't worry there's more chance of Jennifer Rush having another number 1 then the game being sold out.The crowd was 6k in 2023

Why do Glamorgan want us to be docked points so badly? It's not like they will be awarded them? Also its better for them if we are playing their rivals as an inform team with something to play for.

It's nothing personal heard Jonathan Trott having a moan about the pitch at lunch on day 1

When do we find out either way?

Mystery like most things in cricket.

Lewis Hill said they hadn't called anyone in and wasnt expecting any issues as hadn't been marked down. But you know he doesnt control these things. As with most things ECB related seems a mystery.

If its not a feather bed on a sandy well drained test ground seems to always cause a stir but 650 v 700 no issue.

A draw is to well rewarded currently imo.

Nothing in the laws about length of grass.

It got a bit better as it went along.

Great analogy and 1 was bad enough

That squaky  voice used to drive me mad

Shocking record, one of if not the biggest selling singles that year!!! Rely on the British record buying public:appl:

Good news for me too as won 2 tickets to Leics Somerset in Sept via Sky VIP, pitch inspectors will be in by then!!:P

Their commentator has treated this as a personal vendetta. Its really poor form.

Some.of their pitches are soggy dogs that are a disgrace to the game.

I can only think being a Hundred club has gone to their head. They've produced little international talent for decades. Got bailed out by the taxpayer.

I had a soft spot for them but that was a long time ago.

At their place there were 19 wickets in total with a drawn called at the start of the last hour a proper road, with no chance of anything other than a draw does no good for cricket at all. In fairness to Alfonso as he pointed out any pitch would be a minefield after their featherbed of a strip.

Not looking good!

When Thomas told Adam Whitty they did the pitch partly to get in the opposition’s heads, he can’t have imagined it would be this successful!

Btw - When Hampshire were deducted eight points last year the game was in May and they didn’t find out about any deduction until mid-September.

Still don’t think there will be a points deduction mind.
