Does anyone know how much of the season this rules him out for ? 

He's been somewhat underwhelming so far in the Championship, and I suspect he would have been pretty much undroppable given who he is. Wouldn't be too displeased with Tattersall replacing him as a batsman at this current point in time, given Rehan's lack of runs.

Can't begrudge him and the club agreeing the move, would be a kick in the nuts if DC leave him warming the bench for most of his time in India. Interesting how they messed around with Rehan's entry visa on his last visit but after answering the IPL Bat Signal, they're now rolling out the red carpet - talk about double standards!!

He's a centrally contracted player the club don't have any say.

Tricky one maybe the fact that he's the OS player probably earning double what Tresvaskis earns being the main reason.Trevaskis  seems out of favour.We were in talks to sign Samit for the t20 until he got the ban which forced his retirement.
