Dearden needs dropping, no idea why Swindells hasn’t been given a chance yet, probably waiting for Notts to make an approach. Also, what is the point in playing Parkinson? Hardly bowled today on a Day 5 pitch, not in the team for his batting is he? Shocking average and confidence shot, rather play Wells or Javid.

Haha! Just trying to be philosophical about it- I'm gutted, I thought we had it in the bag but we didn't have the quality to get it over the line. However, we wouldn't have got near winning that game last season, so we've got to look at the positives I suppose.

Wells could open. A positive player. Not going to score less than Dearden is he?

I can see their ground from my work and all I'll say is I don't envy anyone, of any standard, having to bowl more than about four overs today. Absolutely baking.

Yep they do. Griffiths looks very tired. May be should have rested him. Don't really have a lot do we? Tom Taylor has vanished. Maybe played Javid as another spinner.

 

Saying on the radio that four players from Leicester have offers from other counties. Raine, Dexter and Chapple not sure the other one is?

Isn’t it nice to actually see one of our overseas players taking wickets and actually managing the game well with a decent economy rate.

 

47 behind. If we can keep the deficit to below 150, I’d be optimistic.
