Lilley is a waste of time at the moment. He's basically there as a pinch hitter but he's never coming off. Does any other county persist with such a tactic or do they pick a proper bat at 3? Get Swindells in there.

When we have such a 'small' budget why do we have and I use the term loosely a white ball specialist in Lilley?

The only solution for next season is to bin off 50-75% of the squad. Anyone not from the academy, should pretty much be gone. Build a squad around the local lads (Hill, Ahmed, Swindells, Evans + Parky) and get 3-4 quality county standard players. 

 

Also why can't Kimber get a game? He looked decent in the T20 last season.

For a county like ours really you need a squad of players who if needed can play all formats. Why we're persisting with a white ball contract for a bloke who is crap is baffling.

C'mon Ackers! Take the fight back to them. Restore a bit of pride.

 

I find all other county commentators smug (and R Rae usually sucks up to them all) but this pair are insufferable. Its only Northants! Christ.

I'm not convinced Kimber is any better. Averages 15.

I really feel Henderson, as our new Director of Cricket,  needs to front up to some of the issues we are facing in an interview of some sorts. None of us expect miracles, but to have been so firmly under the pump in all but one game thus far this season is so inadequate, and undermines the efforts off the field. It’s bloody hard to get bums on seats when we are so awful week in week out

Didn't he do that last week and essentially said nothing's wrong?
