A few players/units starting to emerge here:

 

Steel looks like he can provide the backbone to our innings.

 

Mike has looked good in a sort of finisher role down the order coming in and accelerating. Massively impressed with his bowling in both wins too.

 

Parky, Ahmed and Steel look like they are a useful unit for attempting to strangle the opposition middle overs.

 

Naveed continues to bowl well and for me Davis looked a better option to round out the attack than Walker though the latter's time will come.

 

Batting needs some work. Ackermann tentatively finding some semblance of form and Patel has shown what he can do.

 

Lilley and Rutherford have offered nothing though and Hill looks far less confident than the player seen in the Championship last season and even when available that couple times this season.

 

Swindells for Lilley seems a no brainer to me and Rutherford running out of chances and lucky we don't have two of Swindells to come in.

Tempted to bring in Swindells for Hill and either Kimber or Welch for Lilley. With Sam Curran causing merry carnage for Surrey at first drop, there's also an argument for moving Ben Mike into the same position for the Foxes.

Starting to think the real Hamish Rutherford is sunning himself on a beach in Bali and he's hired a 2nd XI club cricketer from Otago to take his place to fulfil his Foxes commitment. We have no chance of finishing top four if he stays in the team.
