Thracian Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 No - the bloke is a disaster in waiting. Allardyce ditched him cos he knows that.
Koke Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 he's supposed to be signing for Portsmouth How do you know that? I dont think Rednkapp is that big of a fool.
STUHILL Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 he's supposed to be signing for Portsmouth Definately NOT
Wycombe Fox Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Bramble is one of the worst defenders I've seen in 38 years of watching football from both terraces and armchair. If our future manager were to sign Titus Bramble, I would swim the Solent with one hand tied behind my back, hop 150 miles to The Walkers and f**k him with the blunt end of a rotating pineapple.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Yes. Just cos he's sometimes crap in the prem (he's not always) doesn't mean he'll be crap in the championship. In fact I'm sure he'd do a good job at this level. Although, as I've said before, we don't need any more centre backs, PM, PK and GM are good enough already
The People's Hero Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 I reckon he'd do a decent job at this level actually. He'll get a premiership club though.
Wycombe Fox Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Quote from Wikipedia updated this morning (not by me!); "The Portsmouth chairman is desperately trying to hide this news (of Bramble's release) from Harry Redknapp, little does he know that Harry's dustcart is already on its way up the A1."
lildave3 Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 You watch him go Pompey and perform wonders. Ala James, Campbell, Kanu etc.
Geo V Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Bramble makes mistakes but IMO he has gone on some fantastic form for Newcastle but is hit and miss. I dont think he is the disaster that so many people make him out to be and maybe this level will suit him fine because his mistakes wont get punished as often ! I`d take him for nothing thats for sure.
The People's Hero Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Disastrous some days... but 20 times the player McCarthy will EVER be.
Zingari Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 sooner have wilfred bramble or hercules , his scrapyard horse
Geo V Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 sooner have wilfred bramble or hercules , his scrapyard horse I loved the fils with Hercules the second the greyhound What about the other donkeys released by Newcastle then ?? Titus Bramble 7/10 Olivier Bernard 4/10 (but worth talking about just so we can get a reminder of when he was smashed in the face by a ball kicked from one of our lads ) Craig Moore 3/10 Pavel Srnicek 0/10
hebangsthedrums Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Newcastle also released Olivier Bernard - I would take him but he will probably go to a Premier side. He's 27 so a few years, and I remember him looking pretty decent in a few games
MPH Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 I loved the fils with Hercules the second the greyhound What about the other donkeys released by Newcastle then ?? THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Luigi Glombard has been released by Cardiff, I bet Rob Kelly was first to know seeing he was continuing to monitor his progress

THEfox Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Neil Alexander anyone? Surely he's got to be better than Richard Wright? Who isn't?
Brainy Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 Neil Alexander anyone?Surely he's got to be better than Richard Wright? Who isn't? Ive been mentioning those two for weeks. Steve Thompson from Cardiff has also been put on the transfer list.
act smiley Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 If we were to get Bramble, and I think he'd be after too much money to make it worthwhile, he'd only be worth playing against Chelsea and Arsenal as he apparently plays a blinder against them every time. In the championship, his mistakes might be more bareable but I think that if we do get another defender we need someone who's the commanding type, rather than a timebomb with no knowledge of how to play someone offside. The consistency of the defense is their only real problem at the minute, bringing him in would make it fall apart. So to sum up, its far too big a risk to bother with, so NO! Craig Moore is also crap, but I think's already signed a deal to take him back to Australia. Neil Alexander is good and I'd like to see us go for him, as I mentioned on one of the other threads I think, but he's no Tim Krul - although he's only available for loan. Thompson? God no, he's horrendous - not much better than Horsefield.
Brainy Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 I know, if it werent For FM, I would never have heard of him. There must be a reason why he always gets loaned out to Northampton
act smiley Posted 16 May 2007 Posted 16 May 2007 I want his hair. Also, I was in the pub with a mate who's a newcastle fan watching them play Palermo and he was phenomenal. And for various reasons that night became legendary. And he also looks like some guy in a film. But mostly, I want his hair.
