It happened to Man Utd and it was a wake up call for them. A teams position at the end of the season is judged by its form over a season not by past glories. 92 clubs start anew every year.

Its a disgrace that he is still in employment after the farcical way he managed them by bringing in all these old players like Flo, Gray, Thomspon etc etc. Bates should get rid of him, sanction the sale of there better players elsewhere and allow us to sit back and watch them struggle in D1 whilst Wise becomes a car salesman somewhere in essex.
