Izale McLeod linked with Leicester

The Times have the following transfer listed as a "Dead Cert"....

"Charlton Athletic are keen to buy Izale McLeod and have offered Milton Keynes Dons £1.5 million."

More fool them to be quite honest. Varney for 2mill now mcloed for 1.5...silly buggers!!

When we paid £100 K for him he hadn't scored any goals for anyone and as we'd just come out of administration it was a huge gamble for us - bigger then any team would now be taking for him now.

He's since gone on to bag us more goals then we could ever have hoped for and if we can get a million in the bank from him it will be great business and good luck to the bloke.

From talking ballls.....

I've just spoken to my contact in Admin at MK Dons - they now have another offer 'on the table' for McLeod, from Charlton; matching City's provisional figure of £1.5m, BUT the Leicester price included 'add-ins' (extra for appearances), the Charlton figure is a straight £1.5m 'cash up front' deal. I presume that's why MM is talking to the Dons Chairman today, they'll want City to at least match Pardew's bid.Another complication for City, of course is what's happening with Fryatt - I heard they'll only sign McLeod, IF Matty goes.PS As for the renewed Fowler speculation today, a couple of colleagues have heard that he IS going to Sydney. From talking ballls....I've just spoken to my contact in Admin at MK Dons - they now have another offer 'on the table' for McLeod, from Charlton; matching City's provisional figure of £1.5m, BUT the Leicester price included 'add-ins' (extra for appearances), the Charlton figure is a straight £1.5m 'cash up front' deal. I've spoken to my contacts in the kitchen and the news is that a peanut butter sandwich will be on the table for lunchtime. Sources close to the fridge have said that there is no coke or crisps in the offing.

I have to agree with MP - there is no way that this meal is worth 1.5million.

Only a fool would pay that.

But the peanut butter sandwich is established as a good sandwich.

Too good for the table, but not quite good enough for the floral tray.

I think if we can get some hula hoops instead of the crisps, and substitute the coke for a pepsi, we might have a deal.

I would offer £1.3M plus add-ons if..IF..that filled me up.

Peanut Butter has been filling up children at the small table for months now. I see no reason to doubt its ability to hit the spot in the big tummy...and, quite frankly, the cheese is mouldy and should not feature on the plate again.

Agreed. All mouldy cheese should now only be allowed to go to Cardiff.

And I think if one adds a little jam to the peanut butter, we may have a top quality sandwich that will be worth much more at a later date to someone more hungry.

Peanut butter is over rated and lacks long term potential IMHO. I'll stick to my ginger conserve which shows a bit of finesse, sticks like glue and won't let me down for my money.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about :dunno:

I think it might be some cryptic analogy, but I lost myself there.

I'd always wondered what plaice tasted like and then this week, over my week off, I tried it. And you know what?

I liked it.

And that sort of thing is exactly what this thread is missing.

Izzy signing?

McLeod this?

McLeod that.

Bol locks.

Hmm. Disagree. So does No Nails and that's not good between your Hovis.

It's well known in the snack world that ginger conserve does not get along with anything else and has no friends. Ginger is a reknowned laughing stock.

This does not make said conserve a team player.

Found this pile of crap on TB, made me laugh

Fryatt Out, McLeod In !

Hello - this is my first post on TB - I hope you treat me kindly ! I have regularly posted on Foxest**k lol - but their recent policy of not reporting on 'rumours' - even well substantiated ones - means I won't be putting any news out through them for the future !

I am a freelance sports journalist, based in Bedfordsire and have good contacts with all the League clubs in the area - but particularly Luton & MK Dons. I was (I think) the first to post on a City fans site, that Martin Allen was in talks with Mandaric about taking the City job (I must admit though, it was me who said Mike Newell had been lined up by MM in January - but he had, honest !). The story below is one I passed onto the Express last night - and formed part of their article this morning.

Anyway, the word from MK Dons last night (Paul Ince's Assistant, no less) was that Leicester have provisionally agreed an initial fee of £1.2m (rising to £1.5m with appearances and caps), for Izale McLeod, IF THEY SELL MATTY FRYATT. I immediately made a few calls to journo colleagues around the country - and a contact at the Bolton Evening News told me that he had heard that Preston have had a bid of £1m turned down for Matty 2 days ago - and are now considering 'upping' that to £1.2m (apparently Rob Kelly has persuaded Simpson of the wisdom of the deal). We await developments

Doesn't sound very journalistic to me. "Freelance" covers a multitude of sins. And copy like the above would only end up in the bin at many places.

That's where most of your output belongs, so I suppose you'd know.

You are in an even worse mood than me!
Damn right I am.I have a cold. I have no money. It's only Tuesday.Three things which have put me in a bad mood.I have a load of coursework to do which I don't even understand as the relevant body can't seem to send me the right course materials and a bit of a situation with regards to where I'm going to be living soon.

And I apologise to that last comment to Thracian, despite it's accuracy, I apologise for it's acerbicity.

Has anyone ever studied Seamo's hair during both penalty shoot-outs in Euro 96?. It actually talks to him.

It isn't.

His moustache is a ventriloquist, the hair is just a dummy.

I wondered what Rod Hull had been up to since the late 80's, he's been pilloring Seaman.

I wondered what Rod Hull had been up to since the late 80's, he's been pilloring Seaman.

Unfortunately though, when Rod killed himself Seaman had to rely on Bernie Clifton to ride his hairpiece.

It's this dramatic turn of events that brought about Seaman's retirement from football.
