Master Fox Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 How do you so gleefully and smugly reach that conclusion then?We don't all support teams the other end of the country. I've always loved my football and didn't support a team prior to the Dons arrival simply because there wasn't a local team to support. Are you Wolfman???

That's Cobblers! In the same way you're not going to support Covenrty and Nottingham etc, i'm not from Northampton or Luton so don't support them.

Manwell Pablo Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 What about our local Dog & Duck too? Don't slag em off, they probabley play better football than the Dons.
STUHILL Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 Mcleod excites me because of his raw ability to score goals. I don't care what league you are in, scoring goals is scoring goals. He knows where the net is, which is more than someone we persisted with last season, Hammond! Obviously it is always a risk taking someone from the lower leagues and he could fail, but this guy has been watched by a lot of scouts and Prem ones at that. He definately has something and Allen probably knows it. The big question though...is it worth spending over a million for????

I've seen McLeod score loads of spectacular goals out of completely nothing. At one time he was even described as the Thierry Henry of the division. OK, in reality he's obviously not like-for-like but he does have the skills to score some stunning goals. He certainly plays with confidence and ability and if he can get some decent coaching at a higher level there's no reason why couldn't adapt easily to a higher divison.
Daggers Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 I wonder if he still goes on the Manure forum proclaiming that MK Dons is his second team that he watches because they're local...but he still can't shake his love for the team he got all the shirts for from 1989-2004. And he has all their DVDs.

That means sod all Premier scouts are out and about all the time watching for a missing gem, if they'd have thought he was one he wouldn't still be playing for MK, mind you he still might be good enough for us

Are you speaking from your own personal experience or just idly and weirdly perversely fantasising about what I may get up to?

He may not be good enough for Prem sides, but then again we are a Championship side and not a very good one judging by our recent years.
Chrysalis Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 I am amazed people are so chilled about this with campbell also talking to watford its more players we linked with and failing to get. Time is running out, we would have had this done weeks ago if we werent messing about waiting for fryatt to be sold.
