THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Has been! if fowler scores more than 10 goals i'll be amased After reading his agents comments (where he mentioned the word 'money' about 5 times in 2 sentances) I'm not too bothered he's off to cardiff to be honest. It's like going to a job interview and the first you say is "How much you going to pay me then?". We don't need greed nor arrogance at this club, whether it's the agent spilling the beans or not
Koke Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Getting a bit fed up with all this Izale business - Hope we come to some sort of a resolution sooner than later.
RedOnRed Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Unless you come up with a much better revised offer he'll no doubt be going south. I'll be very surprised if he's not gone within the next week.
Stevosevic Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Unless you come up with a much better revised offer he'll no doubt be going south.I'll be very surprised if he's not gone within the next week. I dont think we will be paying any money for another striker. More likely to be someone on a free.
RedOnRed Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 I dont think we will be paying any money for another striker. More likely to be someone on a free. Shame that, if he bags just a dozen goals for you over the season you'd be able to sell him for a fortune by the end of the of it at his age...£5 million - who knows?
The Reverend Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 Shame that, if he bags just a dozen goals for you over the season you'd be able to sell him for a fortune by the end of the of it at his age...£5 million - who knows? Are you serious?! Why do you say that? Iain Hume = 14 goals = theres no-one willing to pay 5 million for him is there?
Jay Posted 21 July 2007 Posted 21 July 2007 After reading his agents comments (where he mentioned the word 'money' about 5 times in 2 sentances) I'm not too bothered he's off to cardiff to be honest. It's like going to a job interview and the first you say is "How much you going to pay me then?". We don't need greed nor arrogance at this club, whether it's the agent spilling the beans or not exactly what I thought!! Robbie Fowler is a PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALLER used to PREMIERSHIP WAGES if he is more bothered about money than ambition then I'm glad he didn't sign!! could this also mean Peter Ridsdale is at again!!! I hope Cardiff aren't spending Money they haven't got sounds familiar though!!
SilverFox Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Shame that, if he bags just a dozen goals for you over the season you'd be able to sell him for a fortune by the end of the of it at his age...£5 million - who knows? You are the only person here who thinks it is a shame that you can't flog your player to us... Funny that.
RedOnRed Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 You are the only person here who thinks it is a shame that you can't flog your player to us...Funny that. Hmm, you may have a point there....
Master Fox Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 Hmm, you may have a point there.... The big question remains, are you wolfman?
Daggers Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 A bigger question - is Peter Stringfellow really human?
RedOnRed Posted 22 July 2007 Posted 22 July 2007 The big question remains, are you wolfman? If you like, yeah. Who's "wolfman"?
RedOnRed Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Looks like McLeod is on the verge of signing for Charlton...http://www.addickted.net/newsitem.php?id=514
Simi Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Looks like McLeod is on the verge of signing for Charlton...http://www.addickted.net/newsitem.php?id=514Looks like McLeod is on the verge of signing for Charlton...http://www.addickted.net/newsitem.php?id=514 Well they pinched Todorov from us, looks like they're going to do the same with McLeod, if we ever expressed a proper interest.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 That's a hefty price for someone who's never scored goals above League One level. Sharp may have gone for £2m but at least he scored 30 goals last season. We got a far better deal with Campbell. I think Charlton are probably having to dish out an extra wedge because clubs know they've got the pink pound (Bent money).
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Well they pinched Todorov from us, looks like they're going to do the same with McLeod, if we ever expressed a proper interest. So they will have Varney McLeod Iwelumo Todorov Marcus Bent Like to see them keep that lot happy.
Simi Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 So they will haveVarney McLeod Iwelumo Todorov Marcus Bent Like to see them keep that lot happy. Perhaps a chance Bent could play wide right next year, with Rommedahl gone.
Babylon Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 We got a far better deal with Campbell. I think Charlton are probably having to dish out an extra wedge because clubs know they've got the pink pound (Bent money). Too right... £1.5m with a 20% sell on and another 200k is huge money for a striker from that division.
Manwell Pablo Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Perhaps a chance Bent could play wide right next year, with Rommedahl gone. hmm maybe. They have Thomas and I think that Christiansan they've signed can play there as well as up front, so thats another striker .
Simi Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 hmm maybe. They have Thomas and I think that Christiansan they've signed can play there as well as up front, so thats another striker . Also forgetting Ambrose who can play wide right (?)
Guest Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Perhaps a chance Bent could play wide right next year, with Rommedahl gone. Maybe we could take a chance on Marcus?? I always liked him when he were here and think he'd do a good job
Toby or not Toby Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Maybe we could take a chance on Marcus?? I always liked him when he were here and think he'd do a good job Was just about to say that
jonw88 Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 Marcus Bent can get bent, we don't need him! He's the same sort of player as Elvis but stays on his feet slightly more, but still unneeded with all our strikers here.
Master Fox Posted 23 July 2007 Posted 23 July 2007 If you like, yeah.Who's "wolfman"? Well you're obviously not a Dons fan if you don't know who Wolfman is. Disgusting
