There are however a lot of people that support a couple of clubs for a variety of reasons...... And you are only 45 minutes down the road...... And you love the site...... And your ex-manager is now a Leicester fan..... And your best striker is likely to be a leicester player..... And you've now signed an Ince...... And think of the stadium and oh the atmosphere..... And those happy hours on the foxes talk forum swapping stories and images of the men you love.... And all you have to do is open a closet account and become a 'boot cleaner' for a bit....... And nobody need ever know your roots...... Be brave. Defect.

Although it's a very tempting prospect following your club (l'ol) just about everyone in Milton Keynes is either from London or surrounding area, so i'm afraid our allegiances rest in the opposite direction. Should I ever become confused and disorientated enough i'll no doubt venture your way.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 From The Sheep Shaggers Daily Baaa..... RAMS IN LINE FOR MCLEOD WINDFALL Be the first reader to comment on this story BY RICHARD GADSBY [email protected] 09:30 - 27 June 2007 Derby County could pocket up to £600,000 if MK Dons get their £2m asking price for former Rams striker Izale McLeod. Leicester City, Watford and Bolton Wanderers are reported to be interested in the transfer-listed target man, who left Pride Park for Milton Keynes in July, 2004, for around £130,000. As part of the deal, Derby are believed to be due around 30 per cent of any future sell-on fee. Leicester boss Martin Allen, McLeod's manager at Dons last season, is reported to have made a bid between £800,000 and £1.3m last week but McLeod's agent, Gino Culbertson, said there had been no firm offers. "He just feels if he wants to progress as a player, he has to be playing at a higher level," said Culbertson. "The chairman of MK Dons has been very decent about it and understands that he's a young, ambitious player. "Of course, it's all dependent now on a club coming in for him with the right price but, at this stage, there's been no definite offers." The 22-year-old scored 24 goals in 40 appearances in the last campaign and was voted League Two Player of the Year. ___________________________________________________________ A cast iron reason NOT to buy, I'd say!
morris1234 Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 i dont know if this has already been mentioned but anyway! http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...s+striker+talks The former England midfielder has been appointed as MK Dons boss after resigning from his position at Macclesfield Town. He feels minor tweaking of the playing staff will enable the club to have a team capable of clinching promotion next season. And he is keen to have strike duo McLeod and Platt in his plans as he looks to help the club up the Football League ladder. MK Dons are prepared to listen to offers for McLeod, while Platt is attracting interest from the Championship, but Ince hopes to persuade the pair to stay. "We've got some very good players at this club," Ince told Sky Sports News. "Some clubs have made bids for them and there is interest. "It's down to me to sit down and try to convince them to stay, and tell them how we're going forward, and what the dream is. "For this club and for the chairman that is to get in the Championship and the Premiership, so I will sit down and talk to the likes of McLeod and Platt, and certain other players.

RedOnRed Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 you just KNOW we will get the dons in the FA cup... or even second round of the league cup.. ROFL...that is the sort of way things pan out sometimes. Obviously we'd all be very gracious if we've still got McLeod and he hammers a hat trick past you.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 ROFL...that is the sort of way things pan out sometimes.Obviously we'd all be very gracious if we've still got McLeod and he hammers a hat trick past you. I've always wondered why the Dons badge looks scarely like the old transformers badges from the early 90's. Is it because your MK Dons, Wimbledon in disguise?
MPH Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 ROFL...that is the sort of way things pan out sometimes.Obviously we'd all be very gracious if we've still got McLeod and he hammers a hat trick past you. knowing our luck it will be his first game for us ( after returning from injury for dropping a cup on his foot and fracturing his big toe on his first day in his new house in the leicester area) and he will burst into the box trip over his boot lace causing a groin injury with him having to go off again. oh and platt would no doubt score a deflection for you off his knee cap in the last minute... these sorta things really have happened to us the last few years... a few years ago now our GOAL KEEPER at the time dropped and broke his player of the year award... kind of hoping Allen is a lucky manager...
RedOnRed Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 kind of hoping Allen is a lucky manager... Hmmm, sounds like you've had your fair share of bad luck. Well the good news is that Allen seems abnormally lucky as we ended up winning quite a few games on luck alone. As long as his luck running out doesn't coincide with his arrival with you things should look up a bit.

RedOnRed Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 oh and platt would no doubt score a deflection for you off his knee cap in the last minute... Platt is about the only forward I know of that is pretty much incapable of scoring with his feet. OK, he might score with his foot in the odd 6 yard box goal mouth mellee but that's about it - for a big bloke he doesn't have a shot on him. Just about all of his goals last season were scored with his head. So to get 18 goals almost entirely with your head is quite an achievement I suppose but if only he could shoot he would've had loads more.

He is another Trevor Benjamin, the man who got plenty of goals at cambridge! Wont do anything in the championship!!

Master Fox Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Take it you've first hand experience of seeing him play quite a few times then? One minute you’re saying he’s sh*t, then the next minute you’re tickling his bottom with a feather duster! Make your mind up.
MPH Posted 30 June 2007 Posted 30 June 2007 Take it you've first hand experience of seeing him play quite a few times then? i dont think ANY of us have seen him play many times in the championship. knowing mandaric he will probably say somthing like " i'll give you 1.3 for mcleod if you chuck in platt as well". i dont think he will ever be a regular at leicester, but, i think i posted before, i like the idea of him coming off the bench for the last 20 mins, or the odd game here and there to help others recover from injury... like cort.
