She texted back saying "no thanks. Already got home" Why on earth did she not text as she had promised to do? This is the kind of thing that I really cannot condone What is it with you youngsters!!?? Why don't you just phone people and have con-ver-sations with them... Texts are sooo impersonal, no wonder she didn't show up. It's easy to ignore a text, very hard to ignore a person on the other end of the phone!!

And could you perhaps call this poor-quality meal "bullshit"?I put it to you that she was served this meal by the bloke that updates www.football-rumours.co.uk I had no idea that post was going to end up going there. I'm at work! Can you believe it?! Astonishing. I never saw her, but i had an image of a doctor/and or nurse, putting mushed up food into a tube, putting the other end of the tube in her mouth, then blowing the food down the tube into her mouth.

It's easy to ignore a text, very hard to ignore a person on the other end of the phone!! I would prefer to ring people, but not everyone likes receiving calls... strange as that may sound! (Plus you never know if they are available or not at the time...)

This is the second time she's done something similar The previous time, we were supposed to be going out for a drink on a Saturday and on the Thursday we'd already agreed on day and time, just not place. [which, in my books, makes that slot unavailable for other activities]. When I texted her the location details on Friday, she said "sorry cannot make it. Going to a party" 1) Not really nice to change her mind in this case 2) Was she ever going to tell me? I think I need to have a word with her... Manners maketh man but I don't know about women because it would seem your friend has never heard of them. You must be very tolerant to "have a word with her". Personally I wouldn't give her another thought.

My brother is still very upset with my mum because, when my dad died 8 years ago, she rang him and - since he was on another line and she had to rush around sorting out funeral etc (note: in Italy, funerals happen within 2 days of death, not weeks!!!) she left a message with his boss and friend. So my brother heard it from his friend (not a phone message) but still was very upset....

Unless something work-related comes up and we have to reschedule (as it did on Tuesday) Incidentally, I ran into her today, I said hi and walked past. She said hi and asked how it went last night, forcing me to turn round to talk to her Not sure she actually cared either... perhaps she just wanted to make sure she hadn't missed anything So I told her it was a boring student night out and left out the juicy bits involving certain rugby players
