I wish they'd release a home kit in a slightly darker blue than normal, almost navy.

But we're Royal Blue!!! :frusty:

Foxes Tie Up JAKO deal

Posted on: Fri 22 Jun 2007

Leicester City are today (Friday) pleased to announce German sportswear manufacturers JAKO as the club's new official technical sponsor.

The two parties have signed a four-year contract - which sees JAKO provide the Foxes with all their team, training and benchwear.

JAKO have recently put the finishing touches to the club's new 2007-09 home shirt - and new images of the kit, modelled by Fox Hunt winners Simone Swift and Paul Gogna, will be available to view on the club's official website and in the Leicester Mercury on Monday.

The club have released pictures of the prototype shirt in the run up to the launch - but the finished version will be produced to the correct Leicester City shade of Royal Blue and will include a refined sponsor logo.

The club hope to have the new home kit, which has a two-year cycle, available for purchase in the City Megastore before the end of July.

City retail manager Ben Swift said: "We have visited JAKO's headquarters in Germany and we have been thoroughly impressed with their professionalism to date.

"We look forward to building a good, solid working relationship with them over the coming months."

Markus Maritz, international Export Manager from JAKO, added: "As a European leader in team football apparel and equipment, is it essential for us to associate our brand with organizations like Leicester City Football Club.

"The passionate fan base combined with strong market recognition of this excellent run football club is an ideal match with JAKO's goal to create strong and positive market awareness for our brand in the UK."

Both the new home and away shirts will carry the logo of Topps Tiles, the club's official sponsor.

Glad to hear that they are changing this  The new kit looks mighty fine now, alot better than the prototype we saw.

That Ben swift does look like he could be related to Simone swift. You've got to ask questions about that, especially considering she wasn't leading the race when we last got to see the results.

Very good point :o

This is outrageous.

So we still don't have a final colour.

The kit that the models are wearing must be the final version as it has the 'refined sponser logo' and the shade of blue that they will use in the production run. You have to remember that the pics on the website haven't been officially released yet so the post still refers to the last prototype we saw Kishishev and Hellings with on Tuesday. The kit in the leaked photos must be the production run because they would not spend money on a photoshoot for a prototype kit.

Have you seen it?

Seen it?

I have access to top secret pictures about to be unveiled on the website...look, here's one.

Aside from the £250,000 for the syndication rights of the cartoon character...which I bought and paid for with my own money...oh yes.

I think the full time this shirt spent in development was literaly 60 maybe even 70 hours minutes seconds.

Why on the mens shirt, does the white sholder patch stop at the shoulder on one side but on the other it goes almost all the way down the arm. Yet on the ladies shirt it stops at the shoulder on both sides?

It doesn't.

Its the same on both shirts... in the photo the girl's right sleave is just out of shot, at least thats what i thinks happened.

I wish that kit had pin stripes

Why?... :dunno: ...not sure I'll ever understand why some folks liked the stripes last season, they just struck me as a bit 'naf' (a word i seldom use).

Can't find a complete shot of her shirt, I think you are right though.

I'll ask another question... why is it different lengths on either side? I like the side where it stops at the shoulder personally.

I thought it was the iron on sponser that made is look naff...I actually quite liked the pinstripes

Having said that, I wouldn't want them again this year.

Pin stripes on nylon shirts are mesmerizing.
