Finnegan Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 He wasn't being disloyal, it was a cry for help. :D & why oh why oh why would we want to keep De Vries? Seriously...
Bluefoxtim Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 Either De Vries or Kenton. Kenton I guess could be of back up. De Vries i'd maybe like to see given another chance, however with an increasing amount of strikers I would'nt like to see De Vries stay at the expence of Fryatt. Quite a few people have said that we have a lot of strikers...I don't really understand it though. Hammond - waste of space De Vries - waste of space Sappleton - one for the future Hume Fryatt Cort - injured Now tell me where I am going wrong, but we have 3 strikers at the club who could be half decent, but one is very injury prone. Even if we sign DJ, I still think we need at LEAST 1 more quality striker. As people have said previously all the teams who got promoted had about 5 strikers who featured quite regularly. Ajax Treesdown Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 DaggersHis loan spell at TB left us with a gaping hole in the middle of the forum. Since his return we have been more solid in our idiot condemnation and substantially more incisive in attacks. Get him off the list now. He wasn't being disloyal, it was a cry for help. What a shite post!! Kenton is my choice.

Teeno Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 Has to be De Vries, he's lost some weight and looked a lot better today. I think he has one last chance to prove himself.

Simi Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 I'm pretty sure it will be De Vries, Allen has talked about him a fair bit and praised him, so I can only guess it would be him.
Durnerz Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 Don't care how fit De Vries is he doesn't have the quality and slows us down with his style of play, if anyone, it must be kenton.
Blue Bob Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 By the sounds of it De Vries sounds like he is worth another chance. But who the **** voted for Hughes?? You must be having a laugh, right?
Daggers Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 I know for a fact that everyone voting Maybury did so only because they have his name on their shirt.

Durnerz Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 De Vries did the same thing a couple of pre seasons ago, worked ultra hard to lose weight, had a good couple of games in the seasons openers and ended up being pants again. When will people learn that this is a man with limited ability, who's injury prone and is way down the pecking order in terms of natural talent and ability? If I go now and lose 3 stone am I good enough to play for Leicester despite doing nothing for the club? Seems to be ok for some people to accept De Vries back into contention! Its like the old saying, you can paint a turd any colour but at the end of the day its still a turd! No matter how much weight De Vries loses he has shown us nothing to suggest hes going to improve us as a team on the frontline, the guys finishing is poor, he's a big man who can't head a ball to save his life and gives up when things dont go his way, that has nothing to do with his fitness. Manwell Pablo Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 Maybury if he's sorted his attitude out, he's much better player than any of the others listed and I can sympathise with him, the clubs stuffed up his chances of leaving at least twice, if I were forced to work in the conditions he had to under RK I'd resent not being allowed to leave as well. Mark Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 None, maybe Kenton but that's last resort if we don't sign a left back seeing as he's comfortable anywhere at the back. As for De Vries everyones been too kind to the guy as he's lost a few pounds, it's not possible to strike up a winning mentality with someone as slow and cumbersome as he is involved in the team, and I would keep Elvis over him. Thracian Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 The only ones I would consider keeping are Hammond and DeVries. I am still concerned about Cort's fitness and I'd hardly call him pacey anyway. So Hammond is our only genuinely quick but strong forward right now and I've said all along we shouildn't sell him without getting a fast, strong and better replacement. DeVries has done so much to get himself looking fit but even at today's modest level he didn't look genuinely dangerous. But then, who did? Joe. Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 It's likely to be De Vries isn't it really? I'd like to see him have a fair crack at getting in the team and trying to prove his worth.

Micky Ruddle Posted 14 July 2007 Share Posted 14 July 2007 Sounds silly really. But having Douglas pushing for first-team football aswell as Paul Henderson will certainly keep Casino on his toes. Especially after that performance between the sticks. So Off the list - Rab Douglas. But keep in mind, this is only one match
