Ric Flair Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Has it been revealed the length of contract that Megson has been given? I don't recall reading it anywhere, seems strange it wasn't mentioned on the Official Site when he was announced as manager. I recall he didn't want to talk about it in the Press Conference.
Simi Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Surely a rolling contract? I'm sure someone said 2 years.
Joe. Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Don't quote me but I think it could be 3 years
City Fan Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Its for 2 and 3/4 years, so it is up at the end of the 09/10 season - but lengths of contracts meen feck up in football.
The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Surely a rolling contract? I'm sure someone said 2 years. What is a rolling contract?

Where has this been confirmed? I'd read that initially in a paper article on Thursday morning before he was officially appointed. But i've not heard anything since. A 2 and 3/4 year contract is ludicrous, it really is.
Kent Fox Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 What is a rolling contract? Think it's month by month type contract. Not permanant. It rolls.
The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Think it's month by month type contract. Not permanant. It rolls. (running joke)
Simi Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Think it's month by month type contract. Not permanant. It rolls. So Megson will be gone by the end of the month? Edit : See TPH post!

The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I can't believe we've only appointed him for a month? What do we do when the month is over? What if Megson rolls away?

But i've not heard anything since.A 2 and 3/4 year contract is ludicrous, it really is. Thats what i read in the paper or was it on a website I can't remember, but thats the length of the contract.

But i've not heard anything since.A 2 and 3/4 year contract is ludicrous, it really is. Megson stated it was 2 and 3/4 years during his press conference. It's essentially a 3 season deal, since it covers the vast majority of 3 seasons (what with us being only a few weeks into this one).
Simi Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I can't believe we've only appointed him for a month? What do we do when the month is over? What if Megson rolls away? I know. Switch the Family Stand with the Kop. That'll sort it.

It's not that ludicrous, it means his contract ends at the end of a season.
Kent Fox Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 (running joke) Oh, Bollox! Oh, double - bollox! I can't believe we've only appointed him for a month? What do we do when the month is over? What if Megson rolls away? Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhh! Bollox!!
Mark Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 Milan should do some research before pissing all his "hard earned money" away for tin pot managers on 3 year contracts.
The People's Hero Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I know.Switch the Family Stand with the Kop. That'll sort it. Agreed Ched. I don't see why no one at the club sees it. I wish Mandaric had bought the club for £400million because then we'd have loads of transfer fees! We'd easily afford Koumas then - then we'd win the league. He's got a 20 for passing on football manager you know.
Raj Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 I know.Switch the Family Stand with the Kop. That'll sort it. And sell more Veggie food. Everything will be okay then. Someone should start a petition to move the Kop and Family Stand.
Thracian Posted 17 September 2007 Posted 17 September 2007 What is a rolling contract? Don't get excited!
demon_dog Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 The contract is for the rest of this season plus 2 years. Was definately stated during press conference. Overall about two 3/4 years.
MPH Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 What is a rolling contract? its one where Frank is your agent and he sorts all the details out for you...
demon_dog Posted 18 September 2007 Posted 18 September 2007 its one where Frank is your agent and he sorts all the details out for you... I thought it was for keeping Keef Richards supplied with rollups while on stage.
