Churchill Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Megson says the backing of the fans can help shape the future success of the team. He said: “I looked around at Forest the other night and realised there were City supporters in the top tier of the away end, as well as the lower tier. There are not many teams who bring that sort of following.†Will you back him on saturday against Charlton ?

hairy Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Of course he is the manager of my team. Why would I not back him at this point in the season?
Zingari Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 i'm backing him all the way ; he's a (proven) good manager and should get full support from us
Maybes Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 definately. 5K at forest. 1400 at charlton I will be there.
Geo V Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 A no brainer! I am backing Leicester City FC firstly and whoever is steering the ship at manager level to me isnt that important, as its the blue shirt and the results that appeal to me more than anything. Megson deserves to be backed as he has done nothing wrong so far. If he fooks things up results wise then we reserve the right to have a go but for now, he deserves a fair chance.
Churchill Posted 20 September 2007 Author Posted 20 September 2007 Of course he is the manager of my team. Why would I not back him at this point in the season? Well alot of people i have talked to said they aint backing him or they dont know i know for sure im going to back him i would rather back him and do well this season than not back him and us finish in the bottom half or worse have another relegation scrap!
Ultra Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 One win and one draw from two games - a better record than Kelly, Worthington or Allen managed. He may have got lucky at Forest, but hey, he's still unbeaten and the longer he can stay that way, the better!
Joe. Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I'm definitely giving him the backing. He may not have been my or most people's favourite candidate but he's here and deserves some backing now.
Ozwin Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Churchill, resize your signature mate. It's massive.

Thracian Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I'll back him so long as he tackles the job properly. If he wants supporters on his side then he needs to play his part by having the courage not to overload the defence whenever we get a lead. We have some quality players at the club now and the challenge for Megson is to get the best out of young and old alike. There is no need for hoofball and the sort of inferiority complex we seemed to show at Plymouth and against QPR at the end. Like every manager he starts with a clean sheet. I don't give a toss what went on at Forest or, indeed, how he tackled the job at WBA. It is what he does here that counts and he should remember our traditions and the fact that we've had a succession of defensive managers who ALL failed. It's not making mistakes he should be worried about. It is failing to play with a balanced team and with proper purpose and guidance. I've had enough of seeing unfit players being picked, of seeing people played out of position unnecessarily, of seeing managers pick their pals, of teams with seven and eight defenders, not counting the goalkeeper, and no chance of scoring the goals necessary to win. Basically we need a goal and a half a game to earn a chance of promotion and we need to pick teams to average that home and away. Simple task really. But it needs attitude.
Koke Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 He got my backing all the way. I hope he gets us promoted first time around. Even it means with hoofball and a million of 1-0 wins, then so be it.
Master Fox Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 MF's Message To All Fans: LET'S GET BEHIND HIM!!!!!! .....Even if he is ginger!!
Tommeh Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I'm definitely giving him the backing. He may not have been my or most people's favourite candidate but he's here and deserves some backing now. Fully agreed
Master Fox Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 A win a Charlton now would be bloody brilliant. With another victory over Stoke and it changes everything!

I don't think hoofball is inevitable, as I think it's usually utilised where resources are very limited. We may not have crazy money at our disposal, but I like to think we're in a position to assemble a squad that can win whilst playing decent football
Micky Ruddle Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 He's got my backing. Without a shadow of a doubt
Durnerz Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 The lads have my support. Megson has to earn it.
