Manwell Pablo Posted 21 September 2007 Author Posted 21 September 2007 I wouldn't get your hopes up. Well exactly if what you say is true, actually if what you and Gary Megson say is true, they aren't exactly streets ahead of what we already have which is a far far distance from quality.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 I'd rather we actually try out this World Cup star in a first-team game ahead of the likes of... Shaun Newton... and judge for myself rather than rely on the opinions of Thracian and Gary Megson, thanks. The stupidest thing of all is that none of our players are that spectacular. We get bossed by the likes of Plymouth and Forest. Neither of these two have to be particularly amazing.
Milky Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Having watched him a few times for the reserves i'm going to say Kaebi is pure class. His touch, pace and awareness would suggest he's got more natural ability than anyone at the club. Not sure about him defensively, but he's got to play right wing, with Chambers at right back, and they'd be superb.

It wont be instead of Newton though will it, it'll be at the expense of Ian Hume or DJ Campbell (get him out)

Is it because we have so many players new to the team, and the fact that MA was possibly incapable of gelling them together coupled with a period of being manager-less the reason we were bossed by, well, everybody except Watford?? Perhaps GM will be able to gel them into a team now that they know they are much of a muchness and might try a bit harder in order not to be sold on in the January window..
Staf Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Im a bit late but quality thread how can we call them quality when most of us havent seen them play 90 minutes
Thracian Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 I agree that people do overreact on a player that signs for their club, especially when they are "unknown" players but they do come to the club with some pedigree and we have seen some youtube videos of them to think that they have something to offer the first team or at least given the chance, especially because the positions they are rumored to play (left and right wing) are problem positions for us.Talking of people using the word "quality", can we please ask people to calm down their over-reactions on some of our academy players like Kee and the rest. At least we something of those players week after week, even season after season. They have also been schooled in the ways of the club, know all the players, have invariably trained with the first team and don't need the assistance of an interpreter to make themselves understood.

Typical sour old man stuck in the past! Your comment almost sounds racist fella. I dont give a monkeys where that player has come from, I am more concerned in his ability on the pitch. In an Ideal world half the squad would be Leicester lads but its not 1956 and those days are long gone. Its time you took your rose tinted glasses off and started to see players for what they are or not where they came from.
Bryn Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Before the bandwagon gets carried away, let's look at it conversely; how can you say they're not quality players before you see them play?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 People are getting all excited about Ferreira. He is not as good you think and not to mention his crossings are as effective as Luther Vandross' dick. I note you say his crossings - are you the same guy that tried to sell me 'faster internet providings, 10x faster than you're current providings, with a free ring, ding'

Its time you took your rose tinted glasses off and started to see players for what they are or not where they came from. You do talk shit...especially since I've wanted Kaebi in the team for weeks. But the club might think it prudent to give him time to settle and familiarise himself with players names and football shouts before subjecting him to first team pressure. You're like all PC reactionaries. You want to make issues where none exist. In fact I imagine racism still exists because of divisive cheapskates like you. Apart from being one of the few who wanted Paul Ince as our manager I had multinational girlfriends and friends long before the word racism was in common use. And as county captain in my sport I think I was the first to introduce a multi-racial team and to encourage multi-racial participation specifically. So don't lecture me on things you clearly know little about. The football's plenty.
Daggers Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 You're like all PC reactionaries. Geo? PC? Sexist or Homophobic would have been arguable...but PC, I don't think so.
Head Honcho Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Unless you've actually seen them play more than 3 times, please stop calling them "quality players"Thank you.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Iran are hardly a footballing power house. Take it back!

ASH17LCFC Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Did Ferreira play in the Uefa cup final against Celtic ? I think he will be Quality and kaebi has already got Thracian approvement so he is Quality.
ASH17LCFC Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Andy King is not quality. How would you know ? I have never seen him play so i can't judge him. Have you ever seen him play ?
Koke Posted 21 September 2007 Posted 21 September 2007 Ferreira.Is.Shit. Go on Ferreira and prove me wrong.

kaebifan Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 Unless you've actually seen them play more than 3 times, please stop calling them "quality players"Thank you. Ok i have seen Kaebi play 50+ games, including 3 in world cup, including a magnificent performance vs Portugal, including a kick into the face of figo . He was named one of the 10 world future talents. He has played for Iran over 60 times and made his debut for national team at only 16. Now is it ok if i call him a quality player. ferreira i have never seen play so i dont care about him.

Flexx Posted 22 September 2007 Posted 22 September 2007 I can't believe anyone can say they should definitely be playing. Do we watch the players train everyday? Manager always knows best.
