Ric Flair Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 AAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!Read what I've put READ IT!!! Manwell, I don't think the recent replies are anything to do with your original point. It's now more of a chance for us to bang on about the fact that it's an outcry that Ferreira and Kaebi aren't even getting a stint from the bench.

It's now more of a chance for us to bang on about the fact that it's an outcry that Ferreira and Kaebi aren't even getting a stint from the bench. Hallelujah. There's no excuse any more. Incidentally, I've just read Megson's comments about the Charlton game and they scare the shit out of me. Okay so the goals we conceded were extremely poor but that really shouldn't be the focus. The focus should be that we could have gone all weekend and not even remotely looked like scoring (well, apart from Kokopops with the granny on the train and the big units in Clapham). Saturday's performance really depressed me cos you can see us trying to grind out wins for the rest of the season when really, we need to be approaching away games like we did in the second half at Palace. We have players who are capable of doing the business. We just need to surround them with players better than Stearman, Sheehan, Mattock, Cort and Fryatt.

A couple of times on Saturday he just looked to the Gods after another simple pass went astray from Chambers or Sheehan miscontrolled a routine ball or McAuley let the ball bounce around in our box rather than clear the fuc king thing.

He looked like a Premiership player playing in a League One team on Saturday. We need to compensate for the lack of Weso's driving forward runs which means getting shot of Sheehan from midfield at least, putting Hume up front and playing a couple of wingers who both stay wide and have the pace to join the attack. Chambers needs to play right-back. Bruno needs to play centre-back. Those goals are the excuse we finally need to drop one of McAuley or Kisnorbo.
The People's Hero Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Drop both. N'Gotty and Kenton in. Both McAuley and Kisnorbo were awful on Saturday and as it's my one game of the season, I reserve the right to judge them entirely on that.

Yes I've seen the goals, like two seperate episodes of chuckle vision.
mancunianfox Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Yes I've seen the goals, like two seperate episodes of chuckle vision. Only saw the goals on Sunday morning (haven't dared to watch them again) so correct me if I am wrong, but both times they were going for the same ball, neither winning it leaving an opposition striker unmarked five yards out? Thats shocking. Megson needs to drop one of them and imo we should be playing N'Gotty/Kisnorbo with Chambers at right back. I am very suprised we haven't seen the two of them pairing together for Leicester so far. Also Campbell has 2 goals in 5 starts. Whats wrong with that? Why were two of our more effective players (N'Gotty and Campbell) dropped for players who haven't made a huge impact yet in reserve games? I understand Kaebi not featuring much but I'd definately like to see Ferreira play because he can't be anyless effective than what we have on the wings at the moment.

Second ones the worst, not even sunday league players do that!
The People's Hero Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 McAuley and Kisnorbo ALWAYS want to occupy the same space. Them both going for the same ball, leaving forwards unmarked is nothing new.
mancunianfox Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3QQZ0tIkXYJust found this. Second ones the worst, not even sunday league players do that! Cheers for finding even if they that really wasn't enjoyable. Mcauley is just standing there watching Iwelumo for the first one. Shocking.

True. There is obviously a communication problem between them and I think thats why we need to play N'Gotty there because his experience would benefit us.

Manwell Pablo Posted 24 September 2007 Author Posted 24 September 2007 Which one to drop though...... McAuley I say. For now.
The People's Hero Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Which one to drop though......McAuley I say. For now. Both. Shocking play from the fullbacks was a contributing factor on Saturday though - it wants the whole defence re-jigging.
mancunianfox Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Agree. This is foxestalk, shouldn't we be having some sort of petty argument? This small consensus of opinion is not on
Ric Flair Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Which one to drop though......McAuley I say. For now. I'd agree with that. Or as TPH says, drop them both and give Stearman a chance at centre half. Time for him to get the chance he's waited 3-4 years for in the position he's most natural at. If he doesn't take it, then it's another tick on the crap footballer checklist.
Simi Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3QQZ0tIkXYJust found this. Second ones the worst, not even sunday league players do that! What the **** is Kisnorbo doing watching Iwelumo ?! Tw*t. Close him down you d*ck.
martyn Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Remember the 2nd one looking even worse live, it was an absolute comedy.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Is that Mandaric in the Charlton fans at about 00:30 in the video? Exec's box. Obviously mostly Charlton fans in there.
Thracian Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Interesting how everyone needs a video replay to see what has been apparent time and again. That our centre-backs have as many flaws as other players. With McAuley it only follows on from leaving a Forest man completely cos he thought we should have a free kick. N'Gotty and Stearman have looked the best centre-back pairing when I've seen them but I don't suppose they'd be any more flawless than Kisnorbo and McAuley when in the pressure cookeragainst the best this division has to offer. Fact is all our players are plying their trade in the Championship because that's their best level right now. They need someone who's tactics plays to their strengths and who has the charisma and force of personality to them play above themselves and to inspire them to improve their game beyond recognition. And if Megson's that man then I can speak fluent Mandarin.
Daggers Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 And if Megson's that man then I can speak fluent Mandarin. Thracian, 您需要照亮
